WWE Saturday Night Main Event

TKO

NEWS: |WWE| Last week, MVP challenged Matt Hardy to a boxing match at Saturday Night's Main Event (08.18.07). However, WWE has announced Hardy's opponent and it will be former boxing Heavyweight Champion Evander Holyfield, not MVP. WWE is going all out to boost SNME's ratings this Saturday and I think this idea is a really good one. I'm surprised WWE isn't using this for SummerSlam or maybe they have something else in mind. But I like having Holyfield on WWE just because WWE is pushing Ha...

Ouch

NEWS: |PWInsider| WWE's premiere of Saturday Night's Main Event on NBC got a 3.0 in the ratings. Those the ratings are not exact, it still means it's low because NBC finished last. Maybe 2 hours is too much. There were parts that seemed to drag on a bit, but I was still into the show. But the low rating could be caused by many things. Everyone said NBC has been promoting this show non-stop, but I never saw it. Let's see how the ratings are next time.

Jim Ross Returns to Save WWE

RUMOR: |PWInsider| Jim Ross and WWE are currently in negotiations on how he will be brought back. It's expected that Ross will return to WWE announcing duties as the commentator of Saturday Night's Main Event. He will not, however, return to RAW or Smackdown. Also, an angle will need to be written to explain Ross' return since his "firing" from RAW. Saturday Night's Main Event returns to NBC this Saturday (March 18). This is great news. I'm glad WWE finally came to their senses and found a wa...

Now You Have Something To Do Saturday Nights

NEWS: |WWE| For those of you that remember, Saturday Night's Main Event is returning this March. The show will return to NBC where it all began and is expected to tie in to WrestleMania 22. I wonder how this is going to work. Will it be a RAW only show? Or Smackdown? Or maybe some sort of mix. Well it's way too early to tell, but I'm surprised NBC is actually giving WWE another chance. I thought that bridge burned down in a firey explosion of Hiroshima-like magnitude after the XFL.
