NEWS/RUMOR: |PWI| Reports are saying Shawn Michaels will be out indefinitely as he recuperates and spends time with his family. No set return date is in place for him, but it’s WWE wants him back as soon as possible. Undertaker recently had hip surgery and is working very hard to return soon as well. He may have a match at SummerSlam this year. Both men haven’t been on TV since their WrestleMania match.
WWE relies too heavily on the same guys time and time again to carry shows. The “Go To” wrestlers are always HBK, HHH and Undertaker. Whenever these guys are injured, WWE wants them back because the shows are built around them. This siutation has been ongoing for years. Steve Austin worked his ass off because WWE put everything on him. With all the energy WWE puts into these guys, they should be putting them into the younger generation. Where are the guys that are going to to carry WWE once Taker and HBK retire? Is it Morrison? Is it Punk? Miz? MVP? I really don’t know. WWE will pick out a young wrestler and put them into a long-term program to build them up. But that type of booking has been lost because younger talent always have their storylines dropped quickly. They get blamed for mistakes and never get the experience. I think Cena had a proper course in the art of wrestling, but McMahon was a big supporter of him which helped.
WWE has ignored the younger generation for too long. I’m not making a call for wrestling to re-focus their energy because that’s long overdue. But I think it’s an issue that will come up in a few years when WWE only has younger talent to work with and no one has a clue what to do.

Taker and Michaels need to take it easy they’ve fucking EARNED their ability to relax. WWE needs to take the good talent they have and USE them the way to make them awesome as they could be.
WWE’s booking style has changed over the years. Somehow in the process the focus on the younger generation was reduced.
I think a very large part of this issue is money. WWE went public and is making movies now. Their main eventers are a key piece in the success of these ventures so they’ll keep main eventers on top to sell movies and merchandise at the price of leaving younger guys off TV.
