WWE was going to introduce a new vampire-like faction featuring Kevin Thorn and two new developmental wrestlers, one of which was to be called Black Pain. Thorn recently returned to his vampire gimmick for this new faction, but WWE canceled this faction altogether. Now it is unknown what will become of these three.
Batista has a torn hamstring and will be out for at least 6 months.
Victoria addressed the rumors of her impending retirement and said they are untrue.

Disaster averted, Victoria is not retiring yet and there’s still time WWE will properly use her to lead the Women’s Division.
That new faction sounds bad ass. I wish WWE didn’t cancel it. I’m a big fan of Kevin Thorn, but I have my doubts about him being a star. Maybe it’s because I’m more into his gimmick rather than him. Alas, what could have been. Seriously, Black Pain….that name just screams bad ass.
Kinda sounds too much like Goldusts old character on TNA Black Rain…. Might be why they canceled it.
Hmmm that is true. I liked Black Reign in TNA, but then it fell apart. And then TNA paired him with Rellik out of convenience which was no better. I would hope WWE could do a better job.
maybe they canceled the vampire faction, because they have done it before. the brood(gangrel, edge, christian, the hardy’s) was a vampire faction. so maybe they are trying not to repeating story lines. even though thats never stopped them before.
i think it would be great to have a “new brood” they had one of the best entrances wwe has ever had. rising through a ring of fire was cool.
i’m happy to see that victoria’s not retiring, but it kinda sucks she staying in wwe, she would have been such a nice addition to the knock-out’s in tna. now that maryse is diva champ and mccool will fued with maria, it would great time to do a face change and have her go against maryse for the diva title

And anyone else remember Thorn’s old character of Mordecai? I loved that character! Why’d they scrap him??
Yea Victoria’s correction of the rumors is indeed bitter sweet. She really should consider TNA. I hope WWE re-packages her.
I was also a big fan of the brood. Back when Christian had long hair and Gangrel had a kick ass entrance & theme music. ANd you know what? I think the name “New Brood” is a damn good name too.
I wonder why they canceled it. Wasn’t he supposed to be aligned with Taker or something?
