NEWS: |WWE| Santino will be defending the Intercontinental Title at Cyber Sunday and the fans get to choose his opponent. The choices are The Honky Tonk Man, Roddy Piper and Goldust.
Goldust was rumored to return last year and get a main event push, but those plans never panned out for unknown reasons. It now looks like Goldust will be returning whether the fans vote for him or not. Goldust was fired from WWE in 2006.

Pretty interesting choices and Goldust comes out of left field. I really hope this will lead to his return. And even if fans don’t vote for him I still think he’ll return because WWE wouldn’t throw his name out for no reason. Looks like we could have another Shattered Dreams Production at Cyber Sunday.
Well he was on TNA for a little while under his real name. But I like the Goldust character, makes things more entertaining.
He is one of my favorite characters. I missed the old days when he would quote movies and had Marlena with him.
Yeah he should start quoting the WWE movies and make smartass remarks about ‘em, I think that might be just worth it. But wait, isn’t he one of the Rhodes family too?
Yep, real name Dustin Rhodes.
So I wonder if they are going to have a brother vs brother thing go on that would be freaking great, especially if goldust gets together with Cryme Tyme, vs cody and ted with orton now that would make an interesting segment.
That would be a cool segment. It would be weird if Goldust and Cody Rhodes came face to face in the ring: Two brothers with a completely different character.
Maybe WWE could do a thing storyline where Cody Rhodes is so disgusted by Goldust and have them feud out of hate. (actually, that’s not a great storyline, but anything to get Goldust back).

That’s actually a very plausible storyline, and to be quite honest I wouldn’t mind seeing it, it’s believable and I would believe it if Cody did it.
WWE could use that storyline (or something similar) to propel Cody into a true heel character.
