WWE Restructuring Content to Be More Boring
Posted on July 23rd, 2008 by Matt B
NEWS: |V| WWE will soon be toning down the content of all three shows. The internal move within the company is to produce a PG rated show which applies to RAW, ECW & Smackdown. WWE is making it clear that shows are not going to be tamer, but will feature less stunts than previous years.
“
WWE stressed that its shows wouldn’t become tamer, as a result of the change. They’d just focus more on its over-the-top characters and storylines, rather than attention-grabbing stunts that may have been considered too outrageous in the past.
“
Great, now WWE is going to tone down their product even more? And what does that reference to “stunts” actually mean?
Does it mean we’ll get less limos exploding? Or does it mean we’ll have less production sets falling on chairman? Hmmm…maybe this toning down is a good thing.

its possible they are going back to the more comedic and play like drama type.
Do you think the product will suffer?
I fully understand WWE wanting to be a more family-friendly product. Unfortunately I do not like that direction because I do not fall into that category. I’m still the guy who loved the Attitude era.
You know it will to an extent, its like when they made Mike Judge stop with Beavis and Butthead to make King Of The Hill instead, its going to have its good points but its just never going to be the same.
I guess I’m always worried about change when things are finally looking good. WWE has been pretty good lately ever since the draft and now I’m worried this will ruin it.
It will because its only a matter of time before they screw something up to make it go back to being one of the shows to watch on monday because theirs nothing really good on, so I hear Heroes is coming back in a couple months…. I think I might turn off the wrestling for a while and just get entertained by that. Be sure
^^^^ that I will keep up with stuff on this website though because if I went to theirs I wouldn’t get the whole picture nor the decent opinions of whats possible to happen.
I was about to say…don’t go too far. I can relate to that though: Before the draft and after WrestleMania, watching RAW felt like a chore.
