For the First Time, Management Mad at Cena

NEWS: |PWI TS| Many veteran wrestlers and management are mad at John Cena because his comments towards The Rock in an interview with The Sun. Concerning The Rock and his post-wrestling career, John Cena had this to say:

At one point Rock loved wrestling and wanted to do this all his life.

So explain to me why he can’t come back. Simply put it’s because he wants to be an actor and there’s nothing wrong with that.

He’s very good and very successful. Associating with sports entertainment doesn’t do much for his acting career — I get it.

Just don’t f*** me around and tell me that you love this. That’s the only thing that gets me really p***ed off.

Our fan base have so much admiration for him, he’s got to respect that. He doesn’t give anything back.

Though many people are mad at Cena, it’s unlikely that he will be punished.

I am, without a doubt, 100 percent in agreement with Cena. He is obviously a fan of The Rock because many Rock fans feel the same way. At the very least Hogan comes back every now and then (although it’s for the money and not for the fans), so why can’t Rock come back every now and then. It doesn’t even have to be for a match. He’s completely cut off his ties to wrestling which is a disappointment to me. The last time he was on WWE TV was last year as he helped promote Umaga vs Lashley, but this was just a taped video clip that aired. Ah well, I hope Cena says this to Rock’s face at the Hall of Fame.

I agree with Cena to an extent. The Rock certainly does owe the business at least a couple cameos every now and then cause they can damn well use it, but by the same token, he fufilled his commitment to the WWE a long time ago and if he wants to walk away, he has every right to do so. If the WWE would train it superstars better on how to work a mic they wouldn’t need The Rock. You have a small handfull of wrestlers that can even state their name better yet sell tickets. For goodness sake, let them watch some old videos of Ric Flair, Dusty, The Horsemen, Jim Cornette, and others that made th business what it is today. I mean it’s absolutely painful listening to Orton, Hardy, Punk, Finley, bautista, and the rest of those guys babble their way through an interview. Were any of these guys fans before they learned to jump off the top rope or take a chair shot. Nobody would care if The Rock came back or not if the rest of the guys could pull their weight on the mic as well as on the mat. Just think about how predictable every Hogan match was, but you kept coming back cause he was able to sell himself. How many times did a 4 Horsemen match end in a dq? But you always wanted to see the next one cause Ric, Arn, Tully, & Barry (screw Lex) promised you the beatdown of a lifetime. WAKE UP AND SMELL WHAT THE ROCK WAS COOKIN!!!

-pryymetyyme- Sorry about your comments getting caught by our filter.

I think wrestling fans take it personally when Rock doesn’t want to come back. We watched him climb the ladder for years and then leave when when he’s at his best? It kinda sucks. Also, I think we’re used to seeing really good wrestlers stay around for a long time and Rock definitely doesn’t fit that. But you’re right, no one could blame him from wanting a career change.
