Is John Cena good for wrestling?

This is something that I have been pondering for a long time. While I personally am an honest person, I will say that at one point I was a fan of John Cena. A young up and comer who isn’t afraid to say some naughty words on Friday nights, what’s not to like? Then came his unofficial world title run also known as his reign as united states champion, which lets face it aside from an injury would have lasted nearly a full year, 3-14-04/3-03-05. Ok so he lost it once or twice in there somewhere...

NEWS: |WWE| The following report is from WWE with full credit going to Andrew Rote... " At No Way Out, Chavo Guerrero established himself as ECW Champion, but he didn’t put to an end the mix of Superstars coveting and fighting for his title. Speaking of mixes, a Mixed Tag Team Match started the evening as Kofi Kingston & Kelly Kelly took on Santino Marella & Layla. Considering the blond beauty has struggled against her rival Diva throughout recent months, the Jamaican Superstar was a sm...

RAW (02.25.08)

NEWS: |WWE| The following report is from WWE with full credit going to Corey Clayton... " Is Hornswoggle not the little grape sired by Mr. McMahon’s grapefruits? Is he really the feisty long-lost son of the “man who loves to fight,” Finlay? These stunning allegations came from John “Bradshaw” Layfield after Mr. McMahon demanded that he apologize for decimating Hornswoggle last week on Raw. The Chairman sheepishly admitted to the U.S. Airways Center crowd he “made a mistake” leaving his ...

0 for 3

Something has really been bothering me and that's the way WWE has handled the returns of three big names. I'm talking about Chris Jericho, JBL and Big Show. I wonder if WWE puts any planning at all into the follow through. For months we had the build up of the return of Y2J. Even though everyone knew Jericho was coming, fans were still excited. And Jericho came back and everything was good for the first month. Then Orton beats Jericho thanks to another returning name and that was JBL. JBL and...

" Coming off an explosive No Way Out, SmackDown kicked off the final Road to WrestleMania with World Heavyweight Champion Edge beaming from his win over Rey Mysterio. The World Champion came to San Diego intent to fire the first salvo toward his WrestleMania XXIV opponent, a man who is undefeated on The Grandest Stage of Them All: Undertaker. “You think I’m afraid,” Edge asked our fans, only to vehem...

ECW (02.19.08)

NEWS: |WWE| The following report is from WWE with full credit going to Andrew Rote... " Tuesday was a night in which experience prevailed, as the “Nature Boy” Ric Flair made a memorable appearance just one day after being named to the 2008 WWE Hall of Fame class. By contrast with the 16-time World Champion, the gutsy Colin Delaney's inexperience took a toll on him when he faced The Miz in one-on-one action. The last time Delaney, Tommy Dreamer, The Miz and John Morrison were all called ...

RAW (02.18.08)

NEWS: |WWE| The following report is from WWE with full credit going to Greg Adkins... " For anyone with a sense of family — or decency — having to watch a distraught Finlay carry Hornswoggle’s tiny, unmoving body from the ring Monday night must have left them with icy chills and a sad, sick feeling in the pit of their stomach. A week prior, a humiliated Mr. McMahon arranged a Steel Cage Match with his bastard son after losing to Hornswoggle in a No Disqualification Match. In that bout...

What is TNA thinking!

I have been watching wrestling for about 35 years now and I have seen a lot of things happen and a lot of things come and go. What I have seen since impact started has made me ask this question. What is TNA thinking? I do feel like comedy has a place in wresting, as long as it is not over done and done right. TNA seems to have decided that the comedy comes first and the wrestling comes second. It seems that almost every angle they have going has some sort of comedic element to it. Look c...
