NEWS: |WWE| WWE and SciFi have signed a new TV deal that will keep ECW on the air through 2008. ECW's deal was going to expire soon and there was a possibility that SciFi would not renew the show. This forced WWE to come up with back up plans such as airing ECW exclusively on the internet and even merging ECW & Smackdown. This was all announced in WWE press release.
