WWE.com announced today that Raw superstar and ECW original Sandman has been released by the company.
“WWE has come to terms on the release of Raw Superstar and ECW Original Sandman as of September 11. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors.”
Sandman participated in the first ECW: One Night Stand pay-per-view and later joined WWE in 2006 for the ECW relaunch. During the 2007 WWE Draft he was switched to the Raw brand where he had a brief feud with Carlito. His final match in WWE was against Santino Marella.
