Backstage, Kennedy is interviewed by Rebecca. Kennedy beat Lashley at No Way Out (02.15.07) and he has beaten several world champions, but Kennedy cannot understand why Hardcore Holly is in the match. It should be Kennedy vs Lashley, not Kennedy vs Lashley vs Holly. Holly interrupts Kennedy and tells him this is ECW and life is not fair.
Our next match is a tag match between La Resistance and The Luchos (sp?). La Resistance win within 10 seconds with a double suplex-neck breaker combo. As La Resistance walk to the back, Snitsky runs out and kicks the fallen tag team straight in the head.
Video of Lashley’s family talking about the ECW Champion and is early years.
Our next segment is Kelly’s Expose.
Video of the imminent inductino of Curt Hennig into the 2007 Hall of Fame.
Our main event is here and it’s a Triple Threat Title Match between Bobby Lashley (c), Ken Kennedy and Hardcore Holly. The bell rings and Lashley jumps Holly. Kennedy delivers a side suplex on Holly and covers…One…Two…Shoulder up. Kennedy beats on Lashley in the corner as he stomps and chokes the champ with his boot. The match continues and Kennedy tries to hit Lashley with the chair, but he hits Holly when Lashley ducks it. Lashley grabs Kennedy and hits the running power slam…One…Two…Three. Winner and still ECW Champion, Bobby Lashley.
Good opening match to the show. I was expecting Thorne to win, but I’m glad RVD got the win. But I’m assuming WWE had RVD win to keep up his popularity since he lost last night to Edge. I could be wrong about that, but either way RVD won in ECW and that’s how it should be.
Nitro/Punk was a great match. I did not know what to expect from these two but they put on a great match. I really enjoyed it. Nitro looked great with his moonsault, buzz saw kick (I’m glad Styles announced what that move was) and his constant covers and energy. Punk looked good too and his finishing move was brutal. Great match and it was better than RVD/Thorne.
Not really sure what to think about the debut of La Resistance. Does this mean ECW is going to have a serious tag team division?
Again, the point of Kelly’s Expose is….???
The main event was good. And it was good because Kennedy and Holly made it a good match. By having them in the ring, you completely cover Lashley’s inexperience. The match was good and the outcome was obvious.
How come they don’t dim the lights anymore? I liked it better that way and what I say is always right.
Overall this was a good night. It was pushing close to PPV quality matches and Nitro/Punk was the highlight of the night. Again, good night of wrestling. The crowd was hot all night and they loved all the faces, including Lashley. I’m sure Vince’s ego is even bigger right now because the fans are playing into his hands, Lashley is getting more popular.

I’m curious about CM Punk’s finisher. If you are familiar with KENTA(Not Kobashi, Just Kenta), was it the Go 2 Sleep? You make it sound like it was, and if it was, AWESOME.
CM Punk, Edge so far in MITB. Good, I’d be fine with either winning.
Rob Van Dam has done a lot for the company, and while I understand them not pushing him as he leaves, they haven’t really buried him either, so it shows they appreciate what he did for them.
-Bradley C.- That’s true, if they wanted to bury RVD then they could just have Umaga come out and destroy him.
I’m not familiar with KENTA, but here’s how the move literally went:
-Punk lifts up Nitro and has him on his shoulders.
-Punk pushes Nitro up in the air
-Nitro goes up in the air and then comes over Punk’s head
-As Nitro is falling to the ground, Punk nails him in the face with his left knee
That IS the Go 2 Sleep! Awesome move!
I’ll track that match down.
-Bradley C.- Here’s the last 1 minute of the Punk/Nitro match from WWE.com It features the move you’re talking about too

-Kane- WWE just did one of those picture things for a few seconds before the show.

Was it like this, Matt B?
-Bradley C.- Yep, the exact same move. Punk’s version looked better. Well, from camera angle it looked better. It’s a good finishing move.
