Dreamer fights back and clotheslines Knox over the top rope. Dreamer throws Knox into the steel steps and then gets back in the ring. When Knox climbs back in, Dreamer cuts him off and hangsu p on the ropes. Dreamer follows with an elbow drop which slams Knox into the mat. Dreamer follows with a stiff DDT, but Heyman runs in and distracts the ref. The security guards pull Dreamer out and beat him up before throwing him back in. Knox grabs Dreamer, performs his finisher and gets the pinfall. Afterwards, Heyman & guards corner Dreamer. But to his rescue comes Sandman through the crowd. Commercial. When we come back, Sandman is protecting Dreamer while Heyman grabs the mic. Heyman tells Sandman that he’s upset too. He loves Dreamer like a son and wanted to give him a rematch, but he’s in no condition to wrestle. Heyman tells the refs to take Dreamer out because Sandman will now take on Knox & Test in a handicap match where the Singapore cane is illegal. Test makes his way to the ring. Before getting in, he gives a boot to Dreamer. Both Knox & Test double team Sandman and toss him all over the ring. Sandman is able to fight back with a drop kick on Knox, but he is over powered fast. Test goes for a flying elbow drop but misses. Sandman grabs his cane and nails Test & Knox. The match is over due to DQ as Sandman is standing alone in the ring.
Backstage, Balls Mahoney tells us he loves ECW.
Our next match is Al Snow vs Kevin Thorn with Ariel. Punches by Snow and kicks by Thorn. Both men slug it out in the corner until Thorn hits an Irish whip and a clothesline to follow. Shoulder to the gut by Thorn and a scoop slam. Snow kicks back and so does Thorn. Irish whip by Thorn and then modified neck breaker using the ropes. Kicks by Thorn keep Snow grounded. Thorn grabs Snow and then hits the Razor’s Edge for the win.
Backstage, Angle says the only thing suicidal Sabu can do is step in the ring with him.
ECW Champion Big Show comes to the ring. He says he wants to add some class and dignity to ECW hence the suit he is wearing. And as for Angle, he will crush him if he gets in the way. The same goes for Sabu because no one can beat him.
Backstage, CM Punk thanks the fans for a warm welcome in his debut match last week. And next week in his second match he will give it his all.
In the main event of the night, Sabu takes on Kurt Angle in a #1 Contender’s Match for the ECW Title. Double leg takedown by Angle into a head lock. Sabu gets his foot on the ropes to break the hold. As soon as Angle gets up, Sabu jumps over the top rope and lands on Angle. Angle thrown in, Sabu climbs the ropes and hits a splash. Sabu can’t get the pinfall so he puts on an arm bar. But Angle counters it into an Ankle Lock. Then out of nowhere, RVD runs in, tosses a chair to Angle and then hits the Van Terminator. Sabu is resting in the corner and RVD runs up and kicks a chair INTO HIM TOO! ECW goes off the air with no #1 Contender.
I’m liking Kevin Thorn more and more.
The beginnig with Heyman,Sandman, Test and Knox was just plain boring. I’ve already lost interest in this feud. Too bad though because their match last week was pretty damn good.
Angle and Sabu put on a good match. It went back and forth and both wrestlers looked strong. I liked the match a lot.
How in the world did RVD miss the chair on Angle? He must still be high. But the finish was great…RVD kicking a chair into Angle and Sabu.
ECW was alright tonight. Maybe it’s because I’m really tired, but it wasn’t as good as last week. But then again, you can’t compete with the Hammerstein Ballroom.
Either way, I enjoyed the show.

Yeah…I agree Matt, it was alright but nothing like last week. Location, location, location. As you said, that was NOT the Hammerstein Ballroom. I used to attend ECW matches here in New Britain, CT. They were held in a couple locations….one in a small gymnasium…the atmosphere sounded like there 20,000 people there and they were lucky if there were 2,000 (that’s the most the place could fit). Another location was this place that was connected to a strip club….no lie. I bought Big Dick Dudley a lap dance back then. Anyway, I wish this was held at the old ECW arena weekly or even the Hammerstein. I want the ECW crowd!!!!
As for last night….that first match was a yawner. Mike Knox needs some more work. And by God….please show more of Kelly if Knox is out there. She looked so good again. Wow! Big Show….what the heck was with that suit? Didn’t anyone in the back tell you that your pants were too short? I’m glad Taz said something on the air referencing it.
Thorne’s match was great, the only downside was the fact he spent a couple of spots in the match lusting over Ariel. But all in all he’s damn good, and I love watching them.
Heyman’s anti-old school feud with Dreamer and Sandman doesn’t really seem to be going anyway, Kelly was smoking hot last night even though she was rarely shown… Test… the guy bores the hell out of me… just bores me.
RVD missing totally with that chair was kinda funny, gotta love those perfect camera angles. I was surprised Angle and Sabu seemed so comfortable going agaisnt one another.
I dont enjoy ECW that much except for CM Punk and when they go to the ballroom. I find it lost and not sure where they are going. I hate the former WWE guys in ECW the most, just put them on Smackdown. Thats where they belong and bring in more guys from the Indies.
The Big Show segment sucked, a big waste of time and what was up with his pants, they let him go out there in those high water pants, RVD really missed that spot with the chair kick and Angle just fell down, looked really stupid to me, maybe RVD was high again, that was not a good come back for him !!
