NEWS: |WWE WE via PWInsider| The punishment for RVD & Sabu’s arrest have been announced: RVD is suspended for a month without pay and Sabu will be fined $1,000.
In terms of their position backstage, Vince & WWE are not particulary angry at the two and no one will be fired. Both RVD and Sabu will still be pushed and both men are taking the punishment well.
Well that’s still good news. I guess we can only hope for the best in a situation like this and looks like we got it. Since WWE isn’t mad at the two, I’m guessing the suspension and fines are just formalities.
The reason Sabu & RVD are taking it well is because they were high while receiving their punishment (supposedly).
Guess, its all politics, one of the B guys would of been Fired. Guess WWE has not one but two different drug policies. They do need RVD and Sabu, thats for sure !!
Well RVD/Sabu have lost my respect…………..If its ok for them, why not bring back Mercury?
Mercury’s in a rehab and he will be back. (supposedly)
While RVD and Sabu are hardcore junkies, they can turn their addiction on and off (supposedly). And besides ECW needs those 2..
and for your other question i believe Kurt Angle is injured..
So, by the way things are going for WWE’s drug policy, there’s a really high chance for Jeff Hardy and X-Pac to return.. Hell, they could even get Lex Lugger back and make a storyline about the death of Ms. Elisabeth.

Exactly Diamond…..If RVD being a pothead is ECW, that says a lot about ECW and the majority of its fans.
To be fair that Drug Policy thing is to stop meatheads and junkies - people like Masters and Jake the Snake Roberts.
RVD and Sabu, according to the policy, could have been fired. it actually says in the policy anyone caught buying, using, selling etc drugs is subject to contract termination!
But that would be soooo harsh!! Sabu needs those pills cos he has battered his body for the last 10 or so years!!! And RVD, like soooo many other people, just likes to get high!!!
The policy is there so WWE can dump problem “stars” that have drug problems.Like i said they had to put up with junkies like Jake the Snake Roberts years ago, turning up to shows zonked out after taking hits of heroin.
Weed aint in the same league with addiction and stuff - and isnt going to affect performance as much either. Fair dues they shouldnt have been at it while they were driving and it is irresponsable… but at least they didnt like, murder someone!!

RVD always did drugs and he is consistently one of the best wrestlers in the world, disciplined and hard-working.

Clinton was a pothead… the vast majority of college students are potheads. I’d rather know the guy driving beside me is high then drunk. Ever wonder why it’s illegal?

The little kids are name calling again. All in all sucks that after all these years RVD finally won the title and then lost it, because he got high. Irony would be if he were liestening to Afro Man while driving home after loosing the wwe and ecw titles.
All in all though I don’t have any less respect for RVD for getting caught smoking pot. Billy Graham was a juicer while champ, Hogan was (and will forever be… I mean come on, he’s going to have a match w/ Orton solely to help promote his forever 16 year old daughters new album) an egohead while champ, The Warrior was… well Warrior was/is just fucked up in general while champ, Triple H was (and still is) a kiss ass while champ, Austin drank heavily and slapped around his wife while champ.

i’m not so much arguing with him as much as it is i made a comment about the rvd situation not being so bad, ray started talking shit, he might be cool and all but he’s acting like a fucking idiot talking about shit he has no idea about.
Is it not odd that the war machine Rhino was fired for dropping a vase. One vase & he got fired.
Matt Hardy was fired for finding out that Edge was having an affair with Lita. Who wouldnt be angry?
Y2J career was said to be in the balance when he callled WWE fucked up, for firing Matt. Who wouldnt back there friend?
Mercury is close to being fired, because of substance abuse, and he hasnt been caught by the cops.
Grand Master Sexay (I know no one cares about him nor do I) was fired for having something that was illegal in Canada.
Scott Hall/Mr Perfect were fired because of the plane ride of hell.
Goldust released because he had to go sort out his families future.
But RVD & Sabu have been caught in the public, brought so much negative publicity for WWE. But they are allowed to stay. People the main concern was that they were under the influence & speeding. How many lives could have been in danger.
Two guys who are earning quite alot of money and one being made champion, should not act this way. This has explained why RVD never reached his full potential.
Diamond dude - like i said its just weed man!! The Drug is being legalised or downgraded everywhere else in the world - its like brothels - they are legal everywhere else but the states!! Man your country is so backward even though it claims to be land of the free and all that!! lol
Mercury is using harder drugs so i think its fair that he is sent off to substance abuse and gets a serious warning… there is nothing you can do to help with Weed cos you dont need help, it really isnt addictive - worst it does is makes you paranoid… which doesnt happen too often - normally you get damned happy!!
McMahon will always be happy to keep the “stars” even if they are in trouble with drugs or whatever - rather than keep deadwood that have troubles in whatever way. Thats the way the world works - RVD and Sabu are crucial to the success of ECW, it really has no hope without them - WWE could survive without Ehino, Jericho and Hardy at the time of their firings (wasnt hardy a risk to the safety of Edge and Lita anyway? Vince would always side with Edge on that as he has more star potential) anyway ye, its all no big deal - way out of proportioN!

wwe needs to enforce drug laws more than they do and if they enforced steroids a hell of a lot of superstars would be gone, guaranteed.

Joey mercury has no future in the WWE anyway he shud get a job in ROH or CZW because nobody cares about him. btw i got nuffin against alchahol it rules ECW CW
