NEWS: |WWE| Quick results of Smackdown which aired June 2nd…

• In his last appearance on Smackdown since being drafted to ECW, Kurt Angle challenged World Heavyweight champion Rey Mysterio. Angle won by count out, but did not win the title when he gave a belly-to-belly suplex to Mysterio which sent him over the top rope and to the outside. Rey looked to have suffered a leg injury which prevented him from getting back into the ring. Afterwards, Angle presented the title back to Rey.
• United States champion Bobby Lashley defeated Booker T with a running powerslam. But afterwards, Lashley was attacked by Booker’s newest “associates” Finlay and William Regal.
• Roddy Piper hosted Piper’s Pit with special guests Daivari & The Great Khali. Piper and Daivari got into an argument which escalated into Khali laying out Piper.
• Mark Henry beat Paul Burchill
• Matt Hardy beat Nunzio. Afterwards, Vito came out to check on his partner. But he came out in a dress.
• Tazz officially challenged Lawler to a match at One Night Stand 2.
• Michelle McCool returned and so did Ashley.
• Mike Mizanin was made Smackdown’s newest host.
• It was announced that Batista will return in 5 weeks and Ken Kennedy will return next week.
