NEWS: |Matt B| On Memorial Day it’s RAW…

The Chairman of the Board Vince McMahon kicks off RAW in a great mood. Vince says he’s very happy to be here, but that wasn’t the case weeks ago when HHH slammed a sledgehammer into Shane’s face. But tonight Vince is happy because HBK was taken out last week by The Spirit Squad. Vince looks in the camera and addresses HBK through live TV. He tells HBK that there’s a place for him in the WWE. He can set up the ring and maybe be a timekeeper. Vince continues on and then questions HHH’s actions as he took out The Spirit Squad last week. But Vince knows HHH will show his true colors tonight because he’ll face Kenny in the main event tonight. And finally, it’s Vince’s understanding that he was supposed to hire a new GM tonight, but he hasn’t found them yet. But Vince did hire a new Executive Assistant and that person is Jonathon Coachman.

The Coach comes out to a crowd of boos. He announces that Cena will be wrestling RVD at One Night Stand II. But, Vengeance is shortly after that and Cena has no opponent for that PPV. So to determine the number one contender, Big Show will take on Edge. The winner will be the number one contender. Also, Kane will face Shelton Benjamin in an Intercontinental match. And finally, Cena will be in action tonight against a mystery opponent. Vince tells Coach that he wants to see HHH backstage. Coach leaves for the back immediately and Vince says RAW will start now as the ramp explodes and Kane comes out.

Kane comes to the ring and so does Shelton. Shelton has a lot of energy, but Kane is able to fend him off and kick him to the outside. Commercial. When we come back, Shelton is in control of Kane in the middle of the ring. Shelton has a reverse chin lock, but Kane is able to fight out. Both men get to their feet, but Shelton delivers a hard kick to Kane’s head. But Kane sits up and goes to town on Shelton. He gives him a clothesline, a sidewalk slam and then a top rope clothesline. Kane follows with a choke slam, but Shelton reverses it mid air with an arm drag take down into a pinfall. Shelton uses the ropes for leverage…one…two….BREAK! Kane breaks the count and lifts Shelton up, but Shelton reverses it again into a DDT. Splash by Shelton on Kane in the corner. Shelton goes for another, but Kane catches him and choke slams him hard. It’s over for Shelton but suddenly the arena goes red and Kane’s old mask is on the Titan Tron. The voices are heard again and Kane is losing it. The ramp explodes and out comes “Kane” in the original costume and mask. “Kane” slowly walks to the ring and stares at the real Kane. The real Kane has no clue what is going, but “Kane” grabs his throat and delivers the chokeslam.

Backstage, Coach is asking Carlito where HHH is, but Carlito does not know. Alejandro walks down and Coach asks him where HHH is. Alejandro does not know either, but he runs his mouth. Coach doesn’t have time for this and leaves. Big Vis comes out and grabs Alejandro. Vis says he’ll have his revenge on Umaga tonight after that attack last week.

Elsewhere backstage, Vince and HHH are talking. HHH asks if they are cool because last week he was following orders last week until Kenny tried to steal the glory. Vince understands and changes the match tonight saying in each corner will be a member of The Spirit Squad. HHH asks if this is a lumberjack match, but Vince calls it a Spirit Jack match. HHH says he has no problem with it because he’ll have his sledgehammer with him.

In the arena, Big Vis makes his entrance, but Umaga runs down and attacks from behind. Umaga face plants Vis into the steel ramp. Lillian looks on with concern for Vis as Umaga and Vis are in the ring. The match officially starts and Umaga gives a splash from the top rope and the Samoan Spike to Vis’ throat. Umaga pins Vis easily.

We see Torrie, Beth and Trish making their ways to the ring.

In the arena, Torrie Wilson, Beth Phoenix and Trish Stratus make their entrances to the ring. Victoria, Mickie James & Candice come out next. This will be a tag team match between Candice & Victoria and Torrie & Beth. Beth and Victoria start the match. The two women exchange blows. Sidewalk slam by Beth and a failed pin. Torrie tags in and gives a splash to Victoria and the Stinkface. Victoria comes back and scoop slams Torrie. Candice tags in and hits a splash, a standing elbow drop and a failed pin. Victoria tags back in and goes for a leg drop, but Torrie moves quick and tags in Beth. Beth runs in and Candice tags in too. Beth delivers several clotheslines to Candice, a gut wrench and a set down slam for the win. Winners, Torrie Wilson & Beth Phoenix. Torrie, Beth & Trish celebrate in the middle of the ring as Mickie, Candice & Victoria scream at them from the outside.

In the arena, The King is bad mouthing Tazz, Heyman and all of ECW. King is interrupted by RVD who comes to the ring with briefcase in hand. RVD joins the announce booth after giving King a dirty look. RVD and King argue, but out comes former Smackdown stars Johnny Nitro & Melina. It turns out it’ll be Nitro taking on Cena. The WWE Champion comes out next to a huge crowd of cheers. Cena starts the match with a right hand, but Nitro comes back with a leg drop, kicks to the gut, a clothesline and forearms to the back. Cena fights back with left hands and right hands. Shoulder tackle by Cena, several clotheslines on Nitro and a slam. Cena hits the Five Knuckle Shuffle, follows with the FU and the STFU for the win. Cena celebrates in the ring and eyes RVD at the announce booth. RVD stands up and hops on the apron. Cena gets in RVD’s face, but Nitro tries to sneak attack Cena from behind. Cena sidesteps and throws Nitro into RVD. Both RVD and Nitro fall to the floor and Cena walks off.

Commercial.

When we come back, Foley and Paul Heyman are in the ring for a debate. Foley reminds Heyman that he called him a prostitute last week. Foley says it’s sorta true because they’ve all done things they didn’t like to get to the top. But what Foley is really mad about is that Heyman said Dreamer & Funk are really hardcore after what Foley & Edge went through at WrestleMania. Foley wishes Heyman well with his pot-smoking, porn addicted, Mick Foley rip-off wrestlers. Heyman responds by saying that Foley is really a Terry Funk rip off. Foley admits that Funk is great, but Dreamer & Funk do not have the guts to do what – Heyman interrupts and mocks Foley for having the “guts” to pull a sock out of his pants to entertain Vince in the hospital. Foley gets pissed and says the gutsiest move he ever made was leaving ECW for WWF and becoming one of the greatest stars. Foley claims that Heyman resents him for leaving ECW for WWE. Heyman tells Foley that he does not resent Foley for his accomplishments, but his problem is with what Foley has become, “a whore.” Heyman informs Foley that Dreamer & Funk will show them that they are more than capable at One Night Stand. More than that, Heyman tells Foley & everyone that ECW is coming back full time in a new vision of his. And with that, Heyman has two draft picks: one from RAW and one from Smackdown. Foley already guesses that RVD is going and Heyman says it’s an obvious choice. But the Smackdown wrestler is a man who embodies the new vision of ECW and that man is here tonight. Heyman calls the wrestler out and it is KURT ANGLE!!!! Angle hits the ring and beats up Foley. Angle runs Foley out of the ring and Foley crawls to the ramp as he cannot believe what just happened.

Our next match of the night is the Number One Contender’s match. Big Show comes out first followed by Edge w/ Lita. Edge punches Show a few times but Show is not phased. He gives Edge a head butt, two loud slaps to the chest and a big boot. Lita distracts Show long enough for Edge to mount an offense. Edge gives him several shots and goes for a crossbody. Show catches him instead and drops Edge face first on the turnbuckle. Edge rolls to the outside. Show tries to pull him in, but Edge snaps Show’s neck on the top rope. Edge climbs to the top rope, but Show grabs him and throws him off. Show charges Edge but Edge kicks Show’s leg and Show’s head nails the turnbuckle. Edge grabs Show and gives him an Impaler DDT from the top rope. Edge goes for the spear, but Show grabs his throat. While being choked by Show, Edge grabs the ref. Show swings Edge and in turn the ref is swung across the ring. The ref is dazed so Edge grabs a chair and tries to nail Show. Show punches the chair away and grabs Edge’s throat again. But Lita low blows Show and Show lets go of Edge. Show now grabs Lita’s throat and the ref is trying to break them up. Show just pushes Lita away and the ref checks on her. This allows Edge to nail Show with the chair, hits the Spear and pick up the win. The new Number One Contender is now Edge.

Backstage, HHH is making his way to the ring with sledgehammer in hand. Vince catches up with him and takes away the sledgehammer. HHH says nothing, but he is clearly mad.

In the ring, The Spirit Squad perform a cheer and introduce Kenny. HHH comes out next without his sledgehammer. HHH starts with a few blows and Kenny quickly retreats to the outside. HHH tries to pull Kenny back in, but his neck is snapped over the top rope. Kenny quickly runs in and gives Kenny a clothesline in the corner. Right hands by Kenny, but he is cut off by HHH’s high knee. One member of The Squad distracts the ref while the others work over HHH. But HHH fends them off and easily stands alone in the ring as the Squad regroup on the outside. Commercial. Right hand by HHH and Kenny retreats to the outside again. HHH follows to the outside but he is jumped by everyone. HHH thrown back in and Kenny gives a high spinning elbow. Kicks by Kenny, a right hand and a missed shoulder. Kenny nails the ring post shoulder first and the ref checks on him. This allows Johnny to hit a spinning kick and Kenny makes the quick cover. HHH kicks up so Kenny throws him out of the ring. The Spirit Squad attack him once again and throw him back in. Kenny mocks HBK by tuning up the band. Kenny goes for the Superkick, but HHH stops him and hits a DDT. The Spirit Squad help by throwing HHH’s knee into the ring post. Kenny hits a chop block on the same knee and pulls off the knee pads. He works over HHH’s knee with some kicks and some elbows. Yet again, The Squad distracts the ref which allows another member to hold HHH’s knee so that Kenny can deliver his leg drop. But HHH kicks the member into the ropes which causes Kenny to lose his balance and fall crotch first onto the turnbuckle. Both men are down, but they slowly get to their feet. HHH fights back with a facebuster, clothesline and 9 right hands to the temple. Spinebuster by HHH and then The Pedigree for the win. HHH’s celebration is cut short when the entire Spirit Squad attack him. HHH has no chance and they work him over in the ring and outside. HHH looks under the apron for his sledgehammer, but it’s nowhere to be found. HHH starts crawling away as the Squad close in. Then, HHH pulls out a sledgehammer from the timekeeper’s table. HHH attacks and The Spirit Squad quickly run away. Vince comes out and congratulates HHH for rising to the occasion. But next week, HHH will have to join the Mr. McMahon Kiss My Ass Club.

Another strong RAW and another huge development in the return of ECW.

The debate was great. Heyman and Foley are both great on the mic and I loved their segment. My only question is where was Edge for the save? Shouldn’t team mates help each other out? But it’s probably better that Edge not come out because it would be dumb to have Edge get his ass kicked by Angle and then become #1 contender in the same night by beating Show.

But really, who cares because Angle is going to ECW. That’s freakin’ huge. This just tells you how commited Vince is to the success of the new ECW.

The Kane storyline gets more interesting by the week. I’m really getting into it now.

Beth Phoenix looked really good in the ring. I was very impressed and hope she’ll wrestle next week to. Now I wanna see Beth and Victoria go at it.

Kenny and HHH was typical. But I did not expect Vince to come out and tell HHH to “join the club.” That should be a good segment next week as it’ll just add more fuel to the fire when DX comes back.

RAW was great but no GM? WTF!? I’m guessing plans fell through at the last minute, but come what the hell happened?

KURT ANGLE!!! Let me tell you that I am not an ECW fan, but with the addition of one of my favorite wrestlers I am. Beth looked good in the ring, no announcement of the new GM pissed me off, Melina and Nitro on RAW is pretty nice, and Mick Foley making fun of RVD was hilarious. Overall a solid RAW.

  2. on 30 May 2006 at 12:06 amMatt B

-Bill- Glad you liked it too.

WWE is doing several things right with ECW. They’re pushing the important shows, obviously. But they’re telling everyone what the new ECW will be like. They’re stressing the “new vision,” whatever that may be, and telling everyone that it will not be the same ECW which is key to its success. So far I’m really impressed in the planning and creativity that’s gone into this and I’m tipping my hat to Paul Heyman because he’s been doing a great job. You can expect more Heyman ass kissing like this in the the future.

im not a big fan of ECW either, ive seen a few dvd’s of it and didnt really care too much for the tiny wrestlers they have, RVD and Angle will be great for it but they will need more top dogs in there than that really, im gutted Angle has left as i think he’s the best wrestler in WWE especially as a face.
I guess it will make me watch ECW though now.

  4. on 30 May 2006 at 1:20 amShaDow

I haven’t been a fan of ECW either but since Kurt Angle is I might as well be! I’m still glad RVD’s in the title hunt, Triple H kicked ass, and Beth has wrestling skills. But I wish the Women’s Division would be more like it was when Jazz, Molly Holly, and “the real” Victoria were around.

Overall good RAW and I think RVD will beat Cena and then Edge will try and get the title back to WWE since him being Anti-ECW and all. Also I think Tazz vs. Lawler is in the future.

  5. on 30 May 2006 at 1:22 amShaDow

I almost forgot. Having the original Kane come out was the best part of RAW in my opinion. A Kane vs. Kane match would be awesome at Vengeance.

  6. on 30 May 2006 at 2:10 amZeroPhobia

    E - C - dub

and i got two words for you.. “Smackdown what?”

    DX is getting closer..

Kane vs Kane v2.0 (beat that V1!!)..
(btw who is the other Kane?)

I thought Matt Hardy is going to ECW too?

masked kane was the undertaker i mean did you see his face through the mask it was definatly him. plus did any of you notice that he had both of his arms covered, no dobt to hide all of his tatoo’s.

  8. on 30 May 2006 at 8:25 amJohnson

Masked Kane is not Taker - firstly he is still doing a program with the crap Khali and secondly Taker would never take on that much work at the moment, wrestling on CrapDown - which he only does a couple times a month and being on RAW. AND THIRDLY and more importantly, the chokeslam was rubbish, Takers chokeslams are alot better, and that was obviously a wig. ITs obviously Kanes twin brother shane, who was burned in the fire.

  9. on 30 May 2006 at 10:16 amundertaker

my dream came true on monday night raw.last year i thought to myself, why coudnt wwe just go back to the way it was now listen up-ECW is coming back,DX is coming back, masked kane is probarbly returning

  10. on 30 May 2006 at 11:15 amJohnson

This Kane vs Kane may be being billed as:

    Kane vs Jacob Goodnight

and the guy in the mask is Freakin Deacon, see:

-Taker-Looks like WWE’s gonna have ALOT of changes this summer

The Masked Kane I thought was taker also. Even tho the chokeslam was crap WWE could have told him to do it that way for some reason.

  12. on 30 May 2006 at 5:00 pmprguy79

I sure hope that the two brands will merge together becouse Smackdown is so watered down now that it would be almost imposible to save it in my opinion.

I also want to say that the blog with all the pics is awsome. Keep up the good work.

  13. on 30 May 2006 at 5:07 pmprguy79

Kane’s brother Shane was in the fire am I missing something? I thought Back when Kane was first talked about it was all about how Taker burned Kane, and his parents in that fire. I dont recall a Shane being mentioned.

  14. on 30 May 2006 at 6:38 pmSteven

Remember when there was two undertakers how bad was that but I like the two kanes. WWE is looking up apart from smackdown. Kurt Angle in ecw is quality

For the people who dont like ECW its best to look for tapes up to 1997 thats when ECW was its best. While we WWF had doink the clown they were creating angles which were a new concept.

  15. on 30 May 2006 at 7:08 pmThe Steel Dragon

Shelton and Kane were having a very good match up until the masked Kane came in. (Shelton Benjamin has a lot of talent, I’m hoping him and Carlito will have a feud for the IC title) The masked Kane thing was interesting, but the masked came just didn’t seem enough like Kane. Way too much hair, slightly shorter, and a different body composition. Of course its sort of slim pickings for good wrestlers that are big enough to play Kane. In any event it should be an interesting program. I just hope it doesn’t end up like the Undertaker’s mirror match.
I still don’t care for Umaga, but at least they’re having him beat up jobbers like Viscera instead of big names like Rick Flair and Shawn Micheals.
The womens match was good for a WWE womens match. At least they seem to be recruiting women who can actually wrestle. (I wish they’d let Victoria’s character lash out a bit)
I liked the Edge vs Big Show match. The only downside is that we get to see another boring feud between Edge and Cena.
Cudos to Nitro and Melina (I guess they’re just MN now) on a good match with John Cena. Cena needs to get off his attempt to be a technical wrestler. Nothing against the STF, but it just doesn’t get the crowd reaction that the FU (death valley driver) does.
The Folley vs ECW segment didn’t do a whole lot for me. ECW was about action, not rambling. Foley continues to over hype his wrestlemania match with Edge. It was decent, but really not on the same level as most of the hardcore matches in Foley’s prime. It seems like this whole storyline is trying to relive old Foley feuds. They were great the first time around, but if ECW is going to have a following it needs to go foward, not backwards.
I liked the finish of Raw with the Spirit Squad getting beat down by Triple H. I’m sick of seeing the Spirit Squad getting pushed over all the good wrestler. I’m looking foward to the return of DX. I just hope they don’t over do the return before it even happens.

  16. on 30 May 2006 at 9:28 pmxxx

kane vs kane was cool, but what was with the thrift store costume. it looked like they bought some cheap replica. and why must they always repeat storylines. taker vs taker knda sucked, so i hope they do better. take the away from cena already, i swear the wwe put on a cd of people cheering when cena come out, cause when they show the crowd most are just sitting or have there thumbs down, booing. more people liked him as a heel. i bet he got more cheers back then, hell i even liked the guy back then. beth pheonix rules, she super hot and she can fight. i hope after this mickie storyline, they use her in dx. she kinda reminds me of a hotter chyna and dx needs a hot diva who an fight. for some reason after her match and beth, trish and tori were standing together i was amost expecting them to do a crotch chop. beth and trish i think would make a great tag team. wwe needs more divas and then bring back the womens tag titles, cause when the have matches with divas who can wrestle[lita vs trish was great last year]those matches are as good if not better than most of the guys matches

  17. on 30 May 2006 at 9:48 pmprguy79

I liked ECW back in the days…I was a brand you could watch to see wrestlers go over the edge. It was great watching WWF, WCW and ECW all they really pushed one another. I wish ECW would truly be soled back to Heiman and TNA would start doing a better job. I miss those days. I myself thought the Taker vs Taker storyline played out fairly well. I mean they were ones that were wayyyy better but than again they were even more that were much worse. They truly need to put Carlito in a storyline before they lose his aura with the public. I will always be fan being that I represent Puerto Rico just like him, I saw his father wrestle live many times in Puerto Rico, for those of you whom dont know his name is Carlito Colon

  18. on 30 May 2006 at 10:00 pmxxx

i think the guy that played masked kane was a guy known as issac yankem. he was a dentist wrestler, he also played the fake diesel when diesel and razor jumped to wcw. that exactly what that kane reminded me of a cheap rip off of the real thing

  19. on 30 May 2006 at 10:13 pmprguy79

Issac Yankem is the real Kane(the one withought the mask now) and he was also the fake Diesal

  20. on 30 May 2006 at 10:17 pmMatt B

According to PWInsider, the fake Kane from this episode of RAW is Freakin’ Deacon, a developmental wrestler

  21. on 30 May 2006 at 10:40 pmxxx

really? issac yankem is the real kane, well i didn’t know that. that kinda makes sense though. kane first appear shortly after that fak diesel and razor crap ended. that has to be the stupidest storyline we has ever come up with. even stupiderthat may young giving birth to a sandwich. noe i’m wrong nothing is dumber than that. how can anyone take mark henry serious after being involved in that

  22. on 30 May 2006 at 11:09 pmMatt B

-XXX- Yep, Isaas Yankem is Kane…it’s weird isn’t it cuz Kane has been around for a long time in one form or another.

  23. on 31 May 2006 at 1:12 amxxx

i kinda hope he puts the mask back on. it seems he was touher and more intimedating with it. is it just me or did others think the other kanes costume look cheap, like something you’d find at a discount holloween shop

  24. on 31 May 2006 at 2:51 amxxx

in my opinion the best new dx the wwe could come up with would include of course hhh and hbk, then i’d add edge[no lita],nitro and melina[as of lately they don't like managment, big dx quality] then i’d add beth pheonix, cause i think she kicks ass, and she new, what a better way to get her really over with the fans,i know that 2 women in dx, why not? dx is the only stable in wwe tohave awomen as an official member,so why not 2 for the next gen dx. i can see it now, the tagteam of phoenix and melina, with the outside interfesrence of the rest of dx takeing the tag titles away from vinces spirit squad. what a wy to embarass the chairmen and his cheerleaders

  25. on 31 May 2006 at 3:43 amdiamond

I would just leave DX as HBK, HHH & MNM, this would be cool, as they all fit in with each other……….

I would also get Shelton Benjamin, Viscera, Ruckus (from CZW) & Lashley and make a nation of Domination style faction. Then these two factions can go head to head, what you guys think.
    Thats the bottom luck……..

  26. on 31 May 2006 at 6:45 amMatty R

Angle going to ECW? Who’s left for Smackdown? And if any of those other hardcore guys go, like Benoit or Van Dam, who would be left for “hardcore section” of WWE?

No, I think that “GM” was thought through (sadly). Coach disappeared when JR came back, and there was an article on WWE.com questioning where he went. Planned. Damn, I was hoping for Bischoff or even JBL. Where is Bischoff anyway?

  27. on 31 May 2006 at 7:19 amdiamond

WWE pulls this type of stunt regularly, so that they get ratings. They have done this before, McMahon has something to say or make an announcement and its dissapointing. Also remember this if WWE has two top storylines all ready, it wont start another, right now its the DX & ECW storyline, so a new GM wouldnt make sense.

    Thats the bottom luck…………..

  28. on 31 May 2006 at 9:10 amZeroPhobia

2 major story lines for Raw, partly smackdown..

since the smackdown draftee [Kurt F*cking Angle] appeared on raw and probably won’t be appearing in smackdown
(hope i’m wrong.. atleast get back on mark henry and break his ankle)

I thought dusty rhodes would be GM.. (rumors?)

dude didnt i report this back at post 10!!

Glen Jacobs, KANE, did indeed wrestle a few gimmicks, like Issac Yankem and Fake Diesel, then he got offered Kane and never looked back.

    >

He is gone from Smackdown and RAW he is on ECW know you foolio.

DX isnt coming back for a full run, we will have the reunion of HBK and HHH billed as the return of DX at Vengenace and that will be all, they may wrestle together for a little bit - but im sure WWE sees no reason to bring back the poor mans NWO for a full run, bar a few tshirt sales here and there.

that’s why i said draftee, coz he was drafted to ECW already, but i just sure wish he came back and finish his business with mark henry.. read the whole post.. before reacting foolio..

Anyway, i just don’t like lose ends atleast let him get back at mark henry..

His storyline is like owen harts before (with stone cold shawn michaels with the pile driver move)

  32. on 31 May 2006 at 6:01 pmMatty R

Yeah, diamond, the one I hated was at Taboo Tuesday when they announced Stone Cold and Coachman and the day before — the day before! — withdrew it. Goddamn.

By then, all of us had bought the PPV and were subjected to a second-grade Golddust beating.

why does torrie wilson keep doing rikishi taunts and the stink face?is he returning?i hope so

  34. on 01 Jun 2006 at 4:53 pmMatt B

-Taker- Not sure why she does Rikishi’s move. And I don’t think he’s comining back to WWE. Maybe it’s just a reason to get Torrie Wilsons’ ass on TV.

    -Undertaker- I’m not complaining either.

To everyone, I hope Kane does not feud with the fake Kane. I think that would be a horrible way to end this storyline.

here is my idea,matt-the 2 kanes will fight at vengeance and masked kane will win (just for the story he wouldnt stand a chance really)then paul bearer will come out and say that from the date kane removed his mask that was not the real kane.then the next week the non masked proper kane will take over the role of the masked kane who can not wrestle and wear his original mask so hisface will still be a mystery and he will still be able to fight. :0

  42. on 02 Jun 2006 at 12:51 pmMatt B

-Undertaker- That’s actually a really good idea. It would ultimately bring Kane back to his mask. Good thinking.

  46. [...] In his last appearance on Smackdown since being drafted to ECW, Kurt Angle challenged World Heavyweight champion Rey Mysterio. Angle won by count out, but did not win the title when he gave a belly-to-belly suplex to Mysterio which sent him over the top rope and to the outside. Rey looked to have suffered a leg injury which prevented him from getting back into the ring. Afterwards, Angle presented the title back to Rey. [...]

What about Rey Mysterio vs Sabu at ONS, awesome! Shame Rey isnt at 100% otherwise this would be one of the greatest matches ever. Sabu and RVD with the titles on ECW, WWE having to promote United States and IC title as their top titles, sounds like the best idea to me!

-Johnson- That could be really cool. I wonder if these two will just go out and fight or WWE will build up an angle. Personally, I hope they just go out and fight with no build up cuz they don’t need to put on a good match.

there is no need for any build i think. Just the normal anti-ecw angle from WWE. Ofcourse as Rey Mysterio was once an ECW man perhaps they could build an angle on where his loyalties lie or something - which would ofcourse end in him siding with WWE, id love it if he joined the ECW ranks - but i dont see them futher ripping apart the already crappy SmackDown roster.
