NEWS: |PWInsider| Former WWE wrestler Akio has been re-hired. Akio is expected to finish up his prior wrestling commitments before coming back. However, it’s unknown whether he will return to Smackdown or be part of the new ECW.

I’m sure no one really cares about Akio, but I’ve always liked him. I hope he doesn’t go back to Smackdown because he was pretty much a nobody there. If the Cruiserwight division was thriving then I would love to see Akio return to Smackdown, but I think he could be huge in ECW. ECW was great because a no name wrestler could be huge overnight. And since Akio was getting nowhere on Smackdown, why not try ECW?
