Jim Ross Uses his Influence to Get Rid of Styles at WM22 (supposedly)

NEWS: |WWE| Before RAW this past Monday (03.27.06), Joey Styles was told that Jim Ross will replace him as RAW’s commentator at WrestleMania 22 this Sunday. In the interview, Styles says he was disappointed and angry upon hearing the news, but understands that his position in the company is different. Styles’ position is that of a storyteller, not the traditonal commentator. And even now, Styles admits that he’s not where he needs to be because it’s a big change for him. To fix the situation, Ross and Styles worked together for five hours. Styles says he learned a great deal from Ross and what Ross is doing now is “passing the torch.”
Styles’ interview with WWE is pretty good. He basically addresses what many people have been saying, Styles is not Jim Ross. If you were unfortunate enough to watch RAW his past Monday, you could hear/see that Styles is still in a transition. There were moments of dead silence where Styles didn’t say anything and it felt like Coach and King were waiting for him to speak. Styles will get better, I’m sure of that. And plus JR is now coaching him so we know the RAW announce team will only get better.
And the best news out of all of this, Jim Ross is calling WrestleMania 22. It’s just too bad no one will order it because WWE killed the PPV this past Monday.

I dont really care to be honest. Styles is a great anouncer, and JR is well JR, HES A LEGEND, enough said. But the past RAWS and the one this past MONDAY kinda made me question watching MANIA, or RAW for that matter. But If I was JR I would have said no about Saturday Night Main Event and Mania! Screw Vince and the whole WWE, he has been fired and embarresed enogh over the years by the WWE. I would have said FUCK YOU and moved on. Although JR & Tenay would make a good combo on TNA. JR back on Spike Tv, that will rub it in the WWES smug ass faces!
