NEWS: |PWInsider| WWE’s premiere of Saturday Night’s Main Event on NBC got a 3.0 in the ratings. Those the ratings are not exact, it still means it’s low because NBC finished last.
Maybe 2 hours is too much. There were parts that seemed to drag on a bit, but I was still into the show. But the low rating could be caused by many things. Everyone said NBC has been promoting this show non-stop, but I never saw it.
Let’s see how the ratings are next time.

Matt B–
LOL! I have the same exact headline up on my blog…”owch” is right. I live in Dallas, but I’m afraid to buy tickets for the next show–they might cancel it, lol.
-Lex- We must think alike. I really hope NBC doesn’t cancel the show. I can see this show as a good way to push PPV’s and allow WWE more time to develop storylines and develop characters.
-Lex- Damn you’re going to SNME? Awesome. I hope you have a great time.
I think Joe is going to WM22 and so are people who participate with us here on WrestlingBlog.
Well, allow me to add that I believe “Ouch” or “Owch” is too strong a word. More like “ow.” Lower case, just like I typed it.
Look at what TNA does on Spike. They need big names to bring a 1.0 on a 12am slot. WWE did a 3.0 in a prime-time slot that NBC had nothing else to put in. I know it may seem like I am comparing apples to oranges, but for those of us who don’t know much about ratings, this is about 3.4 MILLION people who tuned in to watch the offering on NBC, which is about 7 times the number of buys on the last PPV. (Juxtaposed to about 1.1 MILLION that tune into TNA on Spike TV at 12am, which is phenomenal, unlike AJ.)
Do the math guys, exposure is the name of the game. It was in the 80’s with the original SNME as it will continue to be in the 2000’s with the new SNME.
I was very content with SNME as I was even drawn into a match that I haven’t been watching for too long, Boogeyman v. Booker T. That should be eventful, or at the very least, interesting.
That’s a shame! I actually enjoyed SNME.
i was at SNME live and let me tell you, the crowd was really into it. It was one of the best live shows I’ve been to.
Im also going to “mania this year, which is like a dream come true
im english and i think Paul Burchil sux he doent giv Eng any justice. Kurt angle is the best wrestler in the WWE.
does any 1 like football!! (or soccer as u call it.)
Matt B–
I’m debating whether or not to buy tickets. I never miss an event when they come to town, but I’m wondering about this one.
After reading about the show on Saturday, it seems a lot of people who atteneded thought it was way too short.
I’d love to go to Mania someday, I missed it when it was in the Astrodome and I’ve been kicking myself ever since. Hopefully it will come back to Texas someday…
-Lex- Ahhh I see. Hopefully when they get to you, SNME will have a great card.
Matt B–
Yeah, the tickets go on sale Saturday so I’m sure I’ll cave in and buy them. I’ll just be more careful about seat selection this time.
For Raw Homecoming, I had a floor “ringside” seat but i was like eight rows back and couldn’t see anything because of some guy’s sign the whole show.
I think this is a trend that will continue. Not only for future Saturday Night Main Events but for Raw and Smackdown too. Its the same Ol’ routine. Everyone knows why HHH gets the air time and praise he does. Because hes part of the family, who gives a shit. Hes the cock of the walk cause he is married to and knocked up Big Boobs McMahon. And this McMahon/HBK feud is a boring rip off of the McMahon/Stone cold feud. Nothing new. And the Spirit Squad? whos fucking idea was that. Heres the WWES one and only ratings ticket. SEX and BOOBS=RATINGS. Well my friends not everyone needs a fake sex scene or half naked pillow fight at a specific night and time to slap the HAM. WWE is a constant fucking re-run!
