WWE Keeps Helms from Jumping Ship
Posted on February 24th, 2006 by Matt B
NEWS: |WWE| According to WWE, current Cruiserweight champion Gregory Helms has signed a new “long-term” deal with WWE. The website also interviewed Helms, but he stayed in character and discussed his new championship.
Does anyone else think that WWE put the title on Helms and signed him to a new deal just to keep him from going to TNA?

Yes most likely so. WWE needs to worry about how they treat people because if not, they can find work else where and compete against them.
I will have to disagree with you here.
If history serves as any guide, look at Sunny. She became champ, jumped ship and lost her whole career soon after.
If Helms wanted to leave, he would head on out the door. It might be a little, forgive the pun, “Money in the bank,” but, I think he is happy. TNA is still getting its balance. Too many faces in the “X” division, no championship organization, and only one good promo cutter, Samoa Joe!
When TNA seems more like an adolescent and less like the newborn pain in the ass company that it is, WWE will see a good part of its talent pool head for warmer climates. Until then, (with the exception of Christian,) TNA will be a bottom feeder lapping up the dead weight from the WWE.
‘Tis sad but ’tis true.
Interesting point…and well put.
So mattdaddy when did you join the vince kiss my ass club.
TNA IS WAY FAR BETTER THEN WWE NUFF SAID!!
Thanks Travis, im getting sick of all these WWE ass kissers. WWE isnt all its cracked up too be. And they were once a small market wrestling league too, but they evolved just like everything else. And as far as TNA bottom feeding for WWEs talent, WWE played the same game for many years. So why bottom feed and worry about ratings when you can just buy everyone out thats kicking your ass. Nice job, but TNA isnt going to sell out, and hey one day they will be stealing WWES ratings and fans with guess what, WWEs old bottom feeding talent.
I just thought wouldn’t it be cool if John Cena faced Ron Killings?
When Ron Killings was let go by WWE, I was really surprised. But after watching him in TNA I see that it was the right thing to do. When will Killings step up in TNA? He was the champion yes, but what has he done since? He’s so boring now and his matches aren’t that great either. The crowd is with him, but that’s only part of it.
Sorry for the rant, but to get to your post, it would be cool if they faced each other. The whole hip-hop gimmick/persona surrounding the whole thing. If they faced off, that would be one of the few times I would want Cena to win.
Let’s call a spade a spade, when you top guy is Jeff Jarrett, you are in trouble. TNA is in no way a threat to WWE. How is TNA better thna WWE? Give me one example. It’s not about ass kissing, its about reality. Don’t het me wrong, TNa has some talent but that can’t hold a candle to WWE. For every AJ, Christan and Team 3-D, the WWE has HHH, Batista, Angle, Taker, Cena and HBK.
I agree with this guy TNA is a piece of Crap and there best wrestlers are all wwe rejects like Christian, jeff Hardy,Dudley Boyz and Rhyno.
Everybody I want to know what is your favourate rivalrie in the WWE!!
Favortie rivarly of all-time or current?
Rock-Austin, Bret-HBK, Taker-HBK are some of all time favorites
Currently, Orton-Mysterio, HBK-Vince and Taker-Angle
Both I want to know your best riviarie of all time and the current best rivalrie!!
Thanks for the answers you make some very good points.
TNA IS WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY WAY FAR BETTER THEN WWE NUFF SAID!!
Give one example of how TNA is better than WWE. I’ll tell you what, the only promotion to ever be as good as wwe was EC f’n W back in their prime. If TNA wants to be better, they should take a page out of ECW’s book. If ECW had the money, they would of been #2, way ahead of WCW on neck and neck with WWE.
-Ray- I want you to know that I am not a WWE or TNA supporter, I am a wrestling fan. I also offer my opinion because I feel that TNA could do a much better job. As the last Anonymous poster wrote, “If TNA wants to be better, they should take a page out of ECW’s book…” ECW was a good company because they gave us what we wanted. Period. ECW didn’t try to be another company. ECW was a company for the fans that wanted action and very little in the way of that. WWE is a company for similiar reasons, though it does way more in the SoapOpera fashion.
I did not say that TNA was the worst company in the world. Its more of a critique from one “self-proclaimed” die-hard wrestling fan to a company that looks like they need it.
As stated in my previous post, Gregory Helms would leave if he wanted to, but IMO he sees that WWE has more to offer him at the moment. If that means they saw him leaving as an option, then so be it. I’m glad they decided to use himfor more than just an animated superhero. Its sad that Stacy had to go off to Hollywood, but such is life.
Before you fly off the handle again Ray, you might want to note that I don’t particularly like the way that story lines are going in WWE but I HATE the storylines/angles on TNA. In about 2 years TNA might have something to offer me, but right now, I just want to see them wrestle. No one can cut promos, no one can advance a story, and even worse, very few of the ones who can are given a chance to.
Please, in your own words, tell me why you think that TNA is the best. I would love to talk. Same goes for anyone. Send me a message to mrp422 at g mail dot com.
Sorry to eat up your comment space, Matt B.
Jimbob, my favorite rivalry of the moment in HHH and Big Show. All time favorite is Undertaker and Kane. That should never die!!!
Jimbob who are you to say anything when youve spent most of your time on here asking dumbass questions about anything related to wrestling. Sounds like you just tuned in to me and now all of a sudden your a wrestling BUFF. You all have your opinions and so do I. And we all have ass holes too. Wait and see what TNA does to the WWE in the coming years.
-MattDaddy- You don’t have to worry about the length of your post. I’m just happy a lot of people are getting involved. That’s the whole point of this site…that fans can express their opinions.
-Matt B- Thanks for getting us involved. Even if some of us have personal vendettas against WWE and don’t want to discuss it, I still like this place. Maybe we could get a message board for our more lengthy discussions?
We’re glad you like it. And you’re right, blogging/comments only goes so far, but a forum can make up for it. But to be succesful, a forum needs a lot of people so if everyone speaks up and wants it then it can happen if Joe likes it.
Ray why dont you shut the hell up before I get really mad you stupid idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
guys, guys, take it easy. just remember, you guys are on a blog page.
