Quick RAW Results (02.20.06) — Number One Contender Determined and Past Superstar Returns

NEWS: |WWE| The following RAW results are taken from WWE’s website…
- HHH beat Big Show and Rob Van Dam in a Triple Threat Match to become the number contender for John Cena’s title at WrestleMania 22.
- After failing to regain the WWE Championship from John Cena last week, Edge issued a challenge to Mick Foley at WrestleMania 22. Edge blames Mick for his loss to Cena since he was the special guest referee.
- Shelton Benjamin defeated Ric Flair to become the new Intercontinental Champion after he blasted Flair with Mama’s oxygen tank.
- As ordered by Vince McMahon, HBK faced off against four members of the Spirit Squad in a handicap match. The match ended in disqualification when the entire squad flooded the ring. To HBK’s rescue was Marty Jannetty. Vince said that Jannetty will get a full-time contract with WWE if joins the “Mr. McMahon Kiss My Ass Club.”
- Candice won a Diva Battle Royal to become the number one contender for Trish Statrus’ Women’s Championship. The match will take place next week.
- Carlito has a big idea for WrestleMania.
- Kane defeated Chris Masters, but after the match Masters put the Master Lock on Kane.
What a bad time to miss RAW. I really wanted to see the Triple Threat Match too. I’ll probably see RAW later this week and may replace this post with an official report.
It’s kind of weird that Marty Jannetty will be officially back. Official being the key word. That’s one thing I admired about McMahon, he’s open to bringing back people. Of course, literally kissing his ass can’t seem too pleasant.
Glad to see all the Divas were involved on RAW and in a match.
As predicted/reported/leaked/uncovered a while ago, Cena and HHH will headline WrestleMania. Even though many saw it coming, you got to give credit to the creative team for how it came together. The tournement was a great idea, the triple threat was a nice twist and adding RVD made the matches much more exciting.
With RVD out of the title running, I hope his next feud is with Carlito. They have put on some good match on RAW and a feud between the two has potential. But Carlito said he had a big idea for WrestleMania and hinted at another Money in the Bank match. If it does happen, you can bet that RVD will be involved along with others as well.

Finally its offical the Game will go to wrestlemania and kick cenas ass and become the wwe champion.
There are rumors going round that the undertaker might have a match with the Big show at wrestlemania with Kane watching the match at ringside.
I wonder when Batista comes back I know he will be injured for around 3 months but will he come back as soon as hes fit or will he take his time and return when knowones expecting him to.
Who thinks that Brock Lesnar will return to the wwe after he has sorted out his law sue on the WWE?

Yes I am glad that Cena got booed I dont know about anyone else but I want Cena to lose the wwe championship at wrestlemania.
