NEWS: |PWInsider| Last December, it was revealed that Matt Cappotelli had a brain tumor and further testing was needed to asses the situation. Well at the recent OVW show, he announced to the crowd that he has brain cancer.

He will most likely be undergoing chemo and surgery to treat the cancer and will thus be out indefinitely. After the announcement, he forfeited the title, prayed with everyone and hugged all the fans.

That’s very unfortunate especially since he was being called up to TV before all of this happened. I guess I’m looking at this as a death sentence, but maybe the situation is quite different since few details are known. Hopefully Cappotelli will give an official statement to WWE.com so we can get a better sense of what’s going on.
