In His Last Decision as GM, Bischoff Fires Tajiri

NEWS: |PWInsider| This Monday will be Tajiri’s last appearance with WWE as he has decided to leave the company. Tajiri plans to go back to Japan to be with his family and possibly pursue a career as an author. It’s not known whether Tajiri will be on RAW or Heat, but his last appearance may have been this past Monday when he wrestled HHH and testified against Eric Bischoff.
I’m not too beat up about this one, but it’s weird that he’s leaving wrestling to write. I think once he gets back to Japan he’ll start wrestling again. He was huge in Japan and still can be, but not so much in WWE. I think once he gets back home, he’ll have a ton of offers to do shows and he’ll be back wrestling in no time.

Actually, Tajiri has been planning quitting the business for a while. He may make a few appearances in Japan but I doubt it will be full time.
I wish I could go back to his ECW days. His matches were awesome in ECW and I loved seeing him every single time. But once he went to WWE, I knew those days were gone. Especially when his first role was servant to RAW GM.
I’ve never been a huge Tajiri fan, actually. The green mist thing is too retro, and the tarantula as a move is way too convoluted and doesn’t appear to actually cause any harm to his opponents. I liked his team Kyo Dai with Sakoda and Akio, though. They likely would have been a bigger success if there were still any decent managers in WWE, as they needed someone to do their promos.
Sakoda never did it for me. But I liked Akio a lot. Akio would have been a great addition to the Cruiserweight Division (if it ever revs up).
That would have been a good team. They could have joined up and had a feud with The Mexicools. Only thing I would change in that scenario is have Akio go back to Jimmy Yang.
