NEWS: |PWInsider| WWE is bringing back Jamal (Eddie Fatu) who was once part of 3 Minute Warning with Rosey on RAW. For those of you who might remember, 3 Minute Warning was Bischoff’s muscle and they would come through the crowd and attack whichever wrestler/diva Bischoff saw fit.

No word on which show, when or where yet, but further updates are sure to come on Jamal.

Where is the logic in this decision? WWE has plenty of people who are underutilized and they keep hiring more people. Why? What possible reason could there be when they already have wrestlers who are ready to step up.

Since they are probably getting him cheap I assume hiring him and reuniting him with Rosey is an easier way to add a tag team to the roster than putting together two guys who have never wrestled together before.

-Hadley- Normally I would agree, but I think the tag team division on RAW is non-existant now. Look at Cade & Murdoch…what the hell happened there?

  3. on 03 Dec 2005 at 6:21 pmHadley Rille

The fact that the tag team division is nonexistent is exactly why they would be hiring people. My guess is we’re going to see a reunion of Three Minute Warning and that they’ll get squashed by Big Show and Kane for a month or so.

I don’t know what happened to Cade & Murdoch. Did Cade get fired? If so, that would also explain why Eddie Fatu got hired.

I think what the WWE needs is a group like DX or thr NWO! Those skits were so entertaining. WCW thrived from the NWOs presence and WWE did when DX was running wild. I miss the days when those groups were together. I dont see why they dont create or bring back something like that. It brought such a spark to the show! Well they kinda tried with Evolution but they were such a HEEL , people liked the NWO and DX wether they were a HEEL or not.

-Ray- WWE does need that spark again. I for one still look forward to RAW, but I have lost interest in Smackdown. I used to like Smackdown better than RAW, but since Heyman is gone from there, I haven’t been watching it much.

I’m sure WWE would love to have a new Hulk Hogan, Steve Austin, and Rocky Maivia too. It’s not really that simple. If there was a simple formula for creating a new NWO or Four Horsemen they’d do it.

I for one still have a love for the WWE, but it aint the same WWE. It was way better when it was the WWF. Other than that I have been watching a ton of TNA and it is non stop action and wrestling. And I love Christina Cage and his character. Im glad he left WWE and went somewhere where its more wrestling and not some dumbass soap opra. I guess he said it best when he said IT WASNT ABOUT THE MONEY! I still wish I had WCW or ECW to watch, that shit was wrestling! Thanks -MATT-

Yeah, I’m often reminded of how TNA is not a soap opera when I see Gail Kim and Jackie Gayda in a love triangle with Jeff Jarrett for some reason.

As for Christian Cage, it wasn’t about money, it was about going college and starting an acting career.

Yeah Hadley there is a stupid ass plot or two on TNA but not every match or break in between matches has to be a soap opra like it is in the WWE. Evey little thing in WWE has to have a story or reason behind it, like they have to build up some pointless match. Lets go back, The love afair between Edge, Lita and Matt, Snitsky killing litas unborn baby, Eddie trying to take HIS son from RAY, making Undertaker look like a second rate loser to Randy etc etc. ALl the WWE is interested in here lately is spitting in the face of legends to build up theses young wrestling ass holes like Randy Orton and Carlito. Give me a break Hadley. I think you enjoy mixing up the skits between Days of Our Lives and WWE.

“Evey little thing in WWE has to have a story or reason behind it”

Yeah, that’s how professional wrestling works, and has worked, for several decades - in WWE, TNA, WCW, ECW, and every other wrestling federation. Fans have to have a reason to care about the outcome of matches. That’s the entire point of booking. You need to learn a bit more about the sport before you start spouting off.

WWE needs to make smackdown up by not letting raw get all the talent. I am sick of hearing the raw is the flag ship. The only reason they are is because the get the better wrestlers. Better time slot. Better matches. Who want to see Battista & Ray team up against Kane & Bug Show? I want a world tile main event on paid pre view. Why did Cena get a to defend his title a the Seris and not Battista? See what I mean about better matches?

  12. on 04 Dec 2005 at 5:18 pmHadley Rille

“Why did Cena get a to defend his title a the Seris and not Battista?”

Batista was injured. Couldn’t wrestle a singles match.

  13. on 04 Dec 2005 at 5:36 pmHadley Rille

And just to followup, Smackdown will always be the number two show because it will never have the same audience size as Raw. Raw is in a long established timeslot and has delivered solid cable ratings for USA for decades. Smackdown, on the other hand, is not as valuable to UPN as a ratings property.

Frankly, I would like to see this whole “brand extension” concept done away with for the most part. It was a workable idea when WWE was loaded with experienced talent due to WCW folding, but now there is a wide gap between the main event and near main event level talent and the guys who are just up from OVW. I’d like to see the world championships and tag championships unified. WWE could still have guys that mostly wrestle on Raw or mostly on Smackdown, but free up the bigger stars to crossover for new feuds and let the opening match level guys bounce back and forth until they find a good spot for themselves.

  14. on 04 Dec 2005 at 8:34 pmMatt B

-Chuck- Hadley is right, Batista has a serious injury which he is rehabbing. He could have had surgery, but decided not to because he didn’t want to take time off. Also, Smackdown has a horrible timeslot, but this is due to UPN moving it to Friday’s, not a WWE decision.

Much of what you say is true, referring to RAW as the flagship show is probably true, but it definitely doesn’t help Smackdown at all. Healthy competition between the shows is good, but thinking of Smackdown as a second rate show cannot help the situation at all. I think Smackdown should exploit its advantages over RAW by using the Cruiserweight Division to its advantage. If WWE could bring this division back to its glory days of WCW, then Smackdown would definitely have an edge over RAW. Just my opinion though.

  15. on 05 Dec 2005 at 1:54 amBreon

    -Matt- That is true

For me I think both shows are good.

But RAW just seems a “tad” bit better then Smackdown! because they have more of the main event superstars like Shawn Micheals and Kurt Angle while Smackdown had guys like The Undertaker and Batista.

raw, better? PSSH! I’d rather cruiserweight action over random beating senseless of triple h and ric flair, or whoever else. although the new gm thing has got me intrigued! :P

i also thought that smackdown vs raw 2006 was too easy theres no good story lines and teddy long gets run over jr should join tna because i think tna would suit him and wheres spike gone go to tna sort a contract out or somthing i just want to destriy wwe because its perfectick there have o..k superstars but there are no good matches and hardcore brawls are always good you get me.

  18. on 26 Dec 2005 at 7:39 pmjamie hall

they should make dx on tna just add a couple more supersatrs 1 because tna is better and almost all of dx are on tna and i think the floke should be reformed and were the hell is kidman bring him back hes a bloody good star goldust and vader should also go to tna and mankind should also go 2 tna hardcore title should come back but not to wwe it should go to tna al snow should quit wwe and joijn tna hes a hardcore heavy you ger me!

Hey Hadley Rille your a dip shit, wrestling is not a sport, its sport entertainment. You sure have all the answers (not) WWE sucks, TNA kicks ass. Vince could have it all but he’s a nut case. They need to change Smackdown to a more hardcore and cruiserweight action show. Move all the none hardcore guys to RAW that would make RAW better also (more stars) but Vince is stuck in some other world with his stupid ass skits about himself and other stupid things (the cheerleader thing) how lame is that !!!

Looks like Umaga has stayed way past what people thought at the time. Too bad his finisher sucks.

  24. on 11 Oct 2006 at 11:59 amMatt B

-Bradley C.- Yea it’s a shame. Umaga does nothing for me. I’m always bored with his matches and cannot help but see him as a Samoa Joe rip off.
