Are You Disgusted?

NEWS: |PWInsider| Fans and wrestlers have been vocal about the angle that played out during the Smackdown Special this past Tuesday. Many feel that McMahon’s decision to use Eddie’s lowrider was in bad taste considering Eddie just died. Not only are people mad, some are completely disgusted by the angle, but do not blame everyone who was involved.

On ByteThis!, Chavo Guerrero gave his opinion and said he did not find it disrespectful to the memory of Eddie. In fact, he thinks Eddie would have approved.

Yeah right, what is Chavo gonna say? Is he gonna say Vince is a heartless demon from hell who eats and breathes money? Hell no! Not unless Chavo wants to get fired. Personally, I dont have a problem with the angle, but I completely understand those that do. What do you guys think?

It was just a car. Compared to many of the angles and storylines throughout the history of the wrestling business it was pretty tame.

Anyone complaining about the “tastelessness” of the show is hypersensitive and probably should find a milder form of entertainment.

To sum up the sd! special eddies car that exploded when orton rammed it in to the set made it look like eddie was burning in hell.EWhat a new low.

Should say it was only a car but do eddies family and friends see it that way.

Yea it’s just a car, so why couldn’t WWE just use another one? I’m playing devil’s advocate here, but they could have taken it in another direction.

Eddie’s lowrider is the only car that is parked ringside on a regular basis. To use a different car would require some explanation as to why it was there for Orton to use.

-Hadley- I’m just throwing out a possiblity, I didn’t write an alternate ending with every hole explained

I hear you. I’m just saying that if they’re going to do something with a car, the only car that would logically be at ringside would be Eddie’s lowrider. WWE certainly could have done something differently altogether, but they couldn’t do that particular thing with any OTHER car.

-Hadley- They’ve done things like that with no build up before. Like the Austin beer truck segment. Who expected Austin to bring a beer truck into the arena? Definitely not me. I would much rather have seen a hurst (sp??? that car that carries the caskets). Orton could have thrown Taker into the hurst and then blown it up.

The point of the segment was that it was a spontaneous attack by Orton. For that to be the case, he had to use whatever was available already. So, if you want him to use some vehicle other than the lowrider, you have to come up with some logical reason why there would be a different vehicle at ringside.

Why would there be a hearse at ringside? Who would have driven it there?

The only other person who ever drives into the arena is JBL, and his limo never gets close to the ring. Also, it is too big to maneuver around. There’s really no other logical way to do what Orton did on Smackdown without it being Eddie’s car. If using Eddie’s car is a problem, then the whole thing needs to be scrapped.

    -Hadley- Very Good Point.

Even though Eddie was one of my favortie wrestlers I still don’t have a big problem with what Orton did much of what Hadley said is my reason why. But still using Guerrero’s car does kind of make you think that WWE is using Guerrero’s death as a “advertisment” feuds.

Dont you think that Edge & Lita “having sex” was “In Bad Taste” knowing that a large majority watching WWE are kids????

Complete shitting on another human being and disrespecting them is perfectly exceptable, even when their dead…as long as it makes you richer. Word is that the WWE is looking for a new talent that physically resembles Eddie, to start calling Deady Geurrero. This guy’s finisher will be to throw the recently dug up body of the really Eddie onto fallen opponents.
Sure its completely heartless and Vince McMahon might be going to hell for it, but more stupid viewer will tune in and just to be offended instead of changing the channel. Ultimately Vince wins.

Ouch, you guys… ouch. I wrote a song for the friends and family of Eddie, called “In The Light”… I’m certain you’ll hear it soon enough. I respect the genious of Mr. McMahon, and look forward to being an employee. As far as I’m concerned, if those closest to him were not offended, who the hell am I to DARE challenge that? I unfortunately never had the privilage of meeting Eddie, but I sure as hell know what it is to feel that kind of loss. If ANYONE should be ashamed of ANYTHING that has gone on in the arena, it should be us. We the fans who chant the sharp painfull weekly reminder to the friends and familia, of a man who’s life was cut entirely too short. We the fans that cried along with these men and women who sweat, bleed, and cry for us every week… I was moved. My spirit was silent for a momment, as the tears ran hot down my face. I want to remind you that we are the fans, we made this all O.K., and Eddie, is still in the hot lights of the arena, drinking in our love from afar. Do I like the story line that Orton has going on? NO… I HATE IT!!! But… hey… isn’t that the point? He’s a heel, RIGHT?!? As far as I’m concerned, getting bent out of shape about this particular story line is about as stupid as “Chef” on Southpark, quitting over the Scientology episode. If you are gonna’ take potshots at anyone, then you’re gonna’ take potshots at ANYONE!! Good Job, Vince for having the courage to have storyline around something so painfull for you, and GOOD JOB Randy, for being the best damn heel you can be! I need someone to “Booo” every now and again!!!
