Now You Have Something To Do Saturday Nights

NEWS: |WWE| For those of you that remember, Saturday Night’s Main Event is returning this March. The show will return to NBC where it all began and is expected to tie in to WrestleMania 22.
I wonder how this is going to work. Will it be a RAW only show? Or Smackdown? Or maybe some sort of mix. Well it’s way too early to tell, but I’m surprised NBC is actually giving WWE another chance. I thought that bridge burned down in a firey explosion of Hiroshima-like magnitude after the XFL.

[...] I’m surprised UPN lasted this long. What a terrible network. It was the only channel on my TV that did not have good reception and we have digital cable! Anyway, here’s hoping that Smackdown gets moved to a better time slot. Saturdays seem unlikley because Saturday Night’s Main Event will be returning to NBC. Sunday’s are obviously out which leaves Tuesday through Friday. Whoever is in charge, I beg you to move Smackdown. Friday nights are killing them. Here’s hoping for Tuesday nights. by Matt B | posted in WWE, Smackdown Brand Trackback URL | Comment RSS Feed Tag at del.icio.us | Incoming links [...]
[...] In the arena, The Coach introduces WWE Champion John Cena. Coach asks Cena about his match with HHH at WrestleMania. In fact, Coach starts laughing asking Cena if he really thinks he has a shot. HHH says he’ll take over now and asks Cena if he really thinks he can win. Cena says he doesn’t have HHH’s resume or the people’s respect. But he does have the WWE Championship. HHH isn’t scared of Cena considering his best move is to pump up his Reeboks. In fact, HHH claims that Cena is a transitional champion and explains to Cena what that is. It’s a guy who is in the right place at the right time, but everyone knows it’s only a matter of time before the title goes to someone more deserving. Cena shrugs it off and says he’s heard the same thing over and over again, so what makes HHH any different? HHH smiles now and says he doesn’t need to say what makes him different, everyone already knows. Cena says it’s true that HHH has beaten many stars on his way to the top, but one name that’s not on that list is himself, John Cena Vince McMahon interrupts on screen and informs the two that they will tag together in the main event on Saturday Night’s Main Event against Smackdown’s Rey Mysterio, Randy Orton and Heavyweight Champion Kurt Angle. Saturday Night’s Main event returns to NBC March 18th 8PM EST. [...]
