RAW (05.12.08)

NEWS: |WWE| The following report is from WWE with full credit going to

…report to come…

The opening segment to RAW was only 15 minutes so that’s down from last week (which is good). BUt even then, the content of that 15 minutes didn’t deserve 15 minutes anyway. Lillian singing was not needed, but that’s just me. I think it’s fairly obvious that Regal will cost Cena his match against Orton tonight and I know a lot of you guys are thinking this too. So mark my words at ~9:20PM, Regal will cost Orton the match and WWE writers think it’ll still be a surprise.

One thing I hated was that Cena came in and kinda rescued Mickie James. James is the Women’s Champion and should not be rescued. But this is my absolute biased opinion because even male champions get rescued too. But I think it was the way Cena did it. He came in, put his arm around Mickie and led her away. I think it made Mickie look weak. But again, I’m biased.

Even though I’m bashing WWE’s lack of creativity right now (assuming Regal or an associate of his does interfere), the ultimate point is to make Regal a true heel and I think WWE is doing a good job. The fans were absolutely against him during Cena/Mickie and he got some good heat before Cena calmed them down. So on that point, Regal is getting heat which is good. And even if tonight’s outcome is obvious, if it gets Regal even more heat than so be it.

And by the way, I’m liking Regal a lot right now. His calm, smug demeanor is paying off well and he’s getting over fast.

The opening tag match was decent. I didn’t find too many things wrong with it, but having Piper out there kinda gave away the ending of the match. And since Holly & Cody are barely recognized as tag champs, this title defense meant absolutely nothing. Thus, having Piper cost Santino & Carlito the titles means nothing too.

Kennedy & Snitsky was better than I thought because both looked strong during their match. The fans are already with Kennedy and he’s getting the same reaction Rock would get when he did one of his signature catch phrases. Good, short match.

Is something starting between Mickie & John Cena?

There is no way Mickie’s brother is a fan of Cena. That’s a downright lie.

There’s not much to say about the Women’s Match. It was more for storyline than wrestling content. But the match could have been a lot longer. Again, I’m biased when it comes to the Women’s Division.

I really really liked the HBK/Jericho segment. It was great. Everything from Jericho second guessing himself to the way HBK hopped out of the ring. Really nice. My only problem, and you know I have one, is the reaction of Jericho after he got superkicked. He was laying on his back with his arms up. It was like he was flexing his biceps while laying on his back. What the hell was that? It just looked awkward. But regardless, the fans are still behind HBK after his lie and they laughed along with him. Pretty interesting and great segment.

Good to see Jeff Hardy back. Also good to hear him apologize and still see the fans are behind him. I really wonder how many fans read WWE.com and websites and know what really goes on in wrestling. Granted everything on wrestling websites is not 100% truthful, but it’s is as close as we can get. Do people in the arena really know Hardy was suspended for drugs? It was just something I was wondering about. Anyway, his defeat over Umaga was very surprising. Hardy beat a “super heavyweight” in under 5 minutes. That’s a big statement.

Very nice how WWE had Cade & Murdoch win and then have Cade still turn on Murdoch. And that punch was brutal. This is exactly what I want to see more of…creativity, swerves, well-thought out plans. That’s exactly what WWE needs to make things more interesting and more exciting.

Now that I think about it, I could be completely wrong about Regal or someone of his choosing costing Cena the match. And that steel cage above the ring may change things.

Did you see Beth Phoenix’s attack on Melina backstage? It was awesome. She laid the beat down on her good.

Well thankfully I was correct about Cena getting screwed by Regal and I didn’t look like an idiot. If my mom taught me anything, it’s that what other’s think of you is the most important thing in life.

I think the main event, in terms of wrestling quality, was what we’ve come to expect. Nothing too great and nothing too exciting. I really liked how the cage came down and gave the fans a preview of what’s to come at the PPV. It looked like Orton hit the cage hard when his face slammed into it.

Oh yea, Orton’s new music sucks balls. It’s awful. Why does everyone have singing in their theme music now? Kennedy does, so does Hardy’s new music and now Orton’s. It’s awful. Just plain awful.

With that out of the way, I think RAW delivered this week. It started out well and maintained at that level. Every segment furthered a future storyline and built up to the PPV. Did this RAW make me want to buy Judgment Day? Hell no. I’ve had no desire to buy a PPV except for WM24. And before that, I think all WWE PPVs are poorly built and do not give fans a good enough reason to shell out their money.

RAW had a lot of good segments, some subpar wrestling and one hell of a beat down courtesy of Beth Phoenix.

Smackdown (05.09.08)

NEWS: |WWE| The following report is from WWE with full credit going to James Vermillion…

After stripping Undertaker of the World Heavyweight Championship last Friday, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero declared The Deadman would have an opportunity to regain the gold in less than two weeks at Judgment Day. To determine his opponent, the GM set up the Championship Chase to Judgment Day.

The premise was simple: The Phenom would face any former or current World, United States or ECW Champion – minus The Great Khali and Edge, who were rendered medically unable to compete – who won the one-night Championship Chase.

In the first qualifying match for the main event, Mr. Money in the Bank CM Punk faced United States Champion Matt Hardy. In the King of the Ring rematch, Hardy reversed Punk’s roll up to advance.

The next qualifier pit two former U.S. Champions — MVP and Finlay — against one another. With a controversial finish, both men were awarded the pin by referee Mickie Henson. Later, Vickie Guerrero decided the Irishman and the Franchise Playa were both winners and would advance to the main event.

For the third match in the Chase, former World Heavyweight Champion Batista went one-on-one with former ECW Champion and current WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison. Morrison controlled the majority of the match, using his speed to subdue The Animal. Unfortunately for the Shaman of Sexy, an ill-timed springboard maneuver left him vulnerable to a spear and the Batista Bomb allowing Batista to move on.

Big Show and Tommy Dreamer were the next to vie for a spot in the main event. The ECW Original gave it his all, but fell to The World’s Largest Athlete, as Big Show defeated Dreamer to move on in the Chase.

The final qualifier was a WrestleMania XXIV rematch between ECW Champion Kane and Chavo Guerrero. Despite interference from Bam Neely on the outside, the Big Red Machine was again able to top the Mexican Warrior and move one step closer to facing his brother at Judgment Day.

After winning the hard-fought qualifying matches, the six competitors battled it out in the Over-the-Top-Rope Challenge to declare the final winner. Each man showing fatigue, they all pushed themselves to the breaking point, with an opportunity at SmackDown’s most prestigious title hanging in the balance.

In the end it came down to two men: The Animal and The World’s Largest Athlete. Big Show smirked as he went to eliminate The Animal, but Batista pulled him over instead, as the fans erupted with cheers. But before Batista could celebrate, Vickie Guerrero was wheeled out with some “great” news: Edge had just been medically cleared, and would be a part of the Championship Chase . The Rated-R Superstar’s jetted down the ramp and immediately speared Batista through the ropes, stealing The Animal’s spot at Judgment Day.

The Ultimate Opportunist celebrated his victory as our fans expressed their displeasure toward another conniving scheme by Edge and his fiancée. As a bolt of lightening struck the podium holding the World Heavyweight Championship, Edge’s smile faded. A single gong resonated through the building, and the Rated-R Superstar knew that in less than two weeks at Judgment Day, he’d be subject to The Deadman’s wrath once again.

Really cool finish. Too bad Edge’s reaction was completely stupid. He spun around in a circle and ruined the spot with that dumb look on his face.

Peculiar Timing

NEWS: |WWE| WWE announced today that they released Torrie Wilson.

Wilson recently found out the seriousness of her recent back injury and thus retired from the ring. She went on to say promotional appearances was going to be her next step in WWE. Whether WWE fired her or Wilson requested her release is unknown.

My first reaction is that WWE fired her because she can no longer get in the ring. But now I realize it’s probably Torrie who left because she has outside projects and WWE wouldn’t fire her considering she’s a big asset to the company.

But if WWE did fire her than I will .

ECW (05.06.08)

NEWS: |WWE| The following report is from WWE with full credit going to Kara A. Medalis…

History was made on the 100th episode of ECW on Sci Fi, as Colin Delaney finally earned an ECW contract. The persistence of our fans’ favorite underdog finally paid off when he defeated none other than ECW General Manager Armando Estrada on the historic night.

Young Delaney, who has been beaten, battered and bruised week after week, for several months in the Land of the Extreme, boldly defeated a strong Estrada to earn an his coveted contract. Delaney rolled up the General Manager for a jubilant win, which was immediately followed by a celebration with our fans in the crowd. He then joined Tazz to offer him congratulations in the ECW ring.

“Tazz … I did it!” Delaney exclaimed. “This is what makes it all worth it, right here!”

An ecstatic Delaney continued on to thank his mentor, Tommy Dreamer, and our fans. Watch Delaney’s dreams really come true next Tuesday when he signs his contract on ECW on Sci Fi.

Before the Extreme action began on Tuesday, ECW announcer Mike Adamle offered an apology to color commentator Tazz and the ECW fans for leaving the announce table on last week’s show. Adamle admitted he’s made mistakes, but said he’s ready to up his Extreme game as he returned to offer his commentary.

“I had no idea how hard this job was and how great the ECW fans are,” Adamle told our audience. “I love WWE and I love working for ECW, and I will do everything, everything in my power to be as perfect as I possibly can and bring you the best possible product you ECW fans deserve.”

Also on ECW’s 100th episode, which highlighted some of the show’s most Extreme moments throughout its history, Mike Knox was victorious once again, this time under Extreme Rules. For the second week in a row, Knox beat Dreamer in an extremely physical match, complete with a hockey stick, a Singapore cane, a rowing oar and guest commentary by ECW Original Stevie Richards. After Knox brutally drove Dreamer through a folding table, he picked up the victory over the ECW Original.

Matt Striker’s lesson plan for Kofi Kingston was given a failing grade by the unstoppable Jamaican Superstar on Tuesday night. As Shelton Benjamin offered his “Gold Standard” of guest commentary, Kingston was victorious again on ECW’s 100th episode. The happy-go-lucky, fan-favorite is still without a loss in the Land of the Extreme, but after picking up his most recent win, Benjamin stormed into the ring and attacked Kingston, leaving him face-down.

Also on Tuesday’s show, Kelly Kelly brought back the infamous Kelly’s Exposé, the sexy show which introduced our fans to the Diva when ECW debuted on Sci Fi. But this special, one-night show was interrupted by Layla. Kelly Kelly’s former friend offered her a little competition in the dance department, but the Divas’ contest turned into a catfight, which had to be broken up by the ECW referees.

Finally, ECW Champion Kane joined CM Punk to face Chavo Guerrero & Bam Neely in tag team action. Still seething after losing a 2-on-1 Handicap Match to Guerrero and his bodyguard the week earlier, the Big Red Machine had the help of Mr. Money in the Bank to claim tag team victory on ECW’s 100th episode.

Rob Van Dam’s wife recently had surgery for the treatment of colon cancer. His wife, Sonya, is now back home and both had this to say…

Update on Sonya

Hello everybody. We want everyone to know that Sonya’s surgery went well and she’s back home recovering now. I’ve had her home for one week and after a few miserable days, she’s making her comeback. The misery was due to what they called “post-operation illis”. After the surgery to remove part of her colon and attach the loose ends, her body took a few extra days to swell intensely, which caused bruising and a lot of discomfort- to say the least. We got her checked out and soon afterwards, swelling went down and everything has been getting better day by day. At this point, we don’t know what kind of therapy treatment we’re facing but whatever they say to do-we’ll do it. We really appreciate all the support that you have been sending our way. The love, prayers, and positive energy made it all the way, as Sonya and I read every comment on my Myspace together and received the attended lift.
All the phone calls, texts, emails and other genuine, straight hearted messages mean a lot to both of us.
Now let me grab Sonya for you. SONYA…?

RAW (04.05.08)

NEWS: |WWE| The following report is from WWE with full credit going to Lennie DiFino…

Former WWE Champion Randy Orton’s pursuit of the title has the Superstar crazed with nothing but revenge on his mind. His opponent Monday Night, the reigning Mr. Money in the Bank, CM Punk, also has his sights on gold.

While Orton knows he will fight Triple H at Judgment Day, Punk continues to bide his time until he sees the opportunity to challenge for a World Title, with the deadline for cashing in WrestleMania XXV in Houston. But both men had their plans of gaining momentum dashed when General Manager William Regal ended their one-on-one encounter, once again wielding his power by turning out the lights.

Neither Punk nor Orton’s nights were over, however, as the Straightedge Superstar competed in the main event match that saw the entire ECW roster take on Triple H & Mr. Kennedy. When that match turned into a 16-man melee, Punk found himself the victim of a Triple H chair shot to the head, while Orton capitalized when the lights went out, emerging to deliver a thunderous RKO to his Judgment Day opponent. Beth Phoenix invoked her rematch clause on Raw, but Women’s Champion Mickie James successfully defended her title against the former champion in a Lumberjack Match. Over the past few weeks, the Divas of WWE have been involved in 12-Diva Tag Matches, but this night belonged to the Women’s Champion.

The Glamazon’s fellow Diva, Melina, cost her the chance to reclaim gold when she accidentally nailed the dominant Diva with her boot, giving James the opening she needed to earn another victory and keep her title.

Intercontinental Champion Chris Jericho & Shawn Michaels teamed together on Raw to defeat WWE Tag Team Champions John Morrison & The Miz in a non-title match. With HBK seemingly less than 100 percent, Y2J fought the champions with all he had, and Michaels delivered Sweet Chin Music to John Morrison, followed by a Lionsault by Jericho to get the win.

After Raw finished, WWE Mobile on AT&T subscribers were the first of our fans to know that at Judgment Day, the growing tension between Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho will see the two square off one-on-one. Preview the match

Carlito hosted a special edition of his Cabana with a very special guest – WWE Hall of Famer “Rowdy” Roddy Piper. Carlito told Piper that it wasn’t cool when he slapped Santino Marella last week, which brought Marella and a microphone to the arena.

Insulting Piper, Marella berated “Hot Rod” for his actions, and the No. 1 contenders to the World Tag Team Championship were poised to attack – until Cody Rhodes came to Piper’s defense. Rhodes told Carlito & Santino that even though his fellow champion Hardcore Holly wasn’t in the arena tonight, another duo was anxious to meet Roddy Piper. Rhodes introduced Cryme Tyme, and JTG & Shad joined Rhodes and Piper in ridding Toronto of “Can-tino.”

JBL’s anger over losing the Fatal Four Way at Backlash continued for a second straight week, as the self-proclaimed “Wrestling god” took on Canada’s own DH Smith. Offering a warning before the match to Smith, JBL pummeled the young Raw Superstar and solidified his threats to John Cena – the man who eliminated him at Backlash. JBL is more focused with his newfound attitude, and he is looking to make Cena – whom he will face at Judgment Day – and anyone else who stands in his way pay for his misery.

GM William Regal continued to lend a hand to his fellow Britons, Paul & Katie Lea Burchill, when he placed the siblings into a Handicap Match for the second straight week. Before the match, Regal removed Jim Ross from commentary and replaced him with Mike Adamle, much to the chagrin of everyone but the General Manager. The Burchill’s made the most of the opportunity afforded to them, destroying their competition once again. Paul delivered a devastating curb stomp to John Cutler, again allowing Katie Lea to get the pin for the victory.

Last week, Trevor Murdoch expressed his frustration over mounting losses with his rendition of “Friends in Low Places” – much to the chagrin of his tag team partner, Lance Cade. Murdoch continued his serenading ways this week, belting out “Stand by Your Man.” Toronto’s own Trish Stratus made a surprising return to the Air Canada Centre, and then she was joined by Ron Simmons, who had his own critique of Trevor’s tune: “Damn!”

The 2008 King of the Ring and Raw General Manager, William Regal, began his night by receiving a ringing endorsement from Mr. McMahon. With that in hand, he continued his iron-fisted rule over the Superstars of Raw.

Regal came face-to-face with Mr. Kennedy, whom he brawled with last week, and on Raw warned not to draw his ire. But the loudmouth would not listen, and Regal then ordered Kennedy into a Handicap Match against the entire ECW roster – a favor for ECW General Manager Armando Estrada to help promote Tuesday’s 100th episode of ECW on Sci Fi.

WWE Champion Triple H then came to the ring to voice his displeasure over Regal’s decision to turn the lights out on his match with Randy Orton last week. The Game’s mouth landed him in the Handicap Match alongside Kennedy, and when the smoke cleared, ECW’s best and brightest stood tall with the odds stacked in their favor.

May 6th, 2008: Reason Big Daddy V & Boogeyman were not in Main Event

The opening segment to RAW was pretty good. Regal is really starting to grow on me and I like his subdued arrogance. His comment last week of “the most powerful entity in WWE” was a nice line and he’s really playing it up this week as well. I like it a lot. The only thing I didn’t like was how long the opening segment was. Including Vince’s endorsement and the commercial, the first match did not start until 9:20 EST which was a long time in my opinion. Regardless, I liked the way RAW started.

Is Katie Lea the long lost sister of Beth Phoenix?

I was really disappointed with the Divas match. The timing was off between Mickie/Beth and they completely botched a move at one point. The match was not exciting and I didn’t get into it. Not really sure what was going on, but these two can do much better.

Nice to see Stratus & Simmons backstage. I guess the Damn! segments will return now (unless Simmons returned last week and I missed it).

Katie & Paul are not getting much crowd reaction. But that double foot stomp by Katie and the Curb Stomp was a nice finishing combination.

Looks like WWE has found the right angle for Adamle and it’s based on real life. I like the idea a lot. Good idea by WWE to play off Adamle’s inexperience.

The tag match was pretty tame, but it was still good. Of course WWE is going to push the HBK/Jericho/Batista storyline and I think they did a good job tonight. They’re not pushing it fast and taking it slow by giving bits and pieces at a time. And the storyline is pretty interesting too and I’m glad Jericho is finally involved in something interesting.

I guess I really shouldn’t comment on Punk/Orton, but I was legitimately upset when Regal came out because the match was good. And this was the perfect time for Regal to come out and ruin it all for the fans.

The Carlito/Piper/Cryme Tyme segment was fun to watch and Piper’s lines were all good (including his one about Santino’s driving). But it really wasn’t need for RAW. However, if WWE turns this into a tag team angle next week like Cryme Tyme vs Carlito & Santino then I guess it’s OK. I’m on the fence about whether this segment really brought anything to RAW.

Is JBL still trying to establish himself as a heel on RAW? He beat up DH Smith, made reference to the Hart Foundation, God himself and did the usual heel move of the post-match beat down. And still this guy can’t get a decent crowd reaction? Pathetic. I respect everything he did and how long he’s been doing it, but his reign on Smackdown was something I enjoyed. Now that he’s on RAW I feel sorry for him and do not want to see him on TV. His current run is bombing and he hasn’t brought anything to RAW since his return. His feud with Jericho, Finlay and now Cena all suck horribly. He’s almost a waste of time now. Please do not mistake this for a fan hating JBL because it’s not. If it were then JBL would be doing a good job of making me hate him. Instead, this opinion is based on the fact that JBL is not the same one from Smackdown a few years ago. His return has not been productive at all and he should return to the commentating booth.

I was really relieved that ECW won the main event. I was worried that WWE would once again put the RAW brand over everyone else, but thankfully they did not and Chavo got the pinfall of all people. It was weird for HHH to hit Punk with the chair so cheering for the fan favorite got confusing when they were all mixed up. I really like how Orton came in at the end. The last time we saw Orton was when he was going to confront Regal and now he comes back at the very end. Nice tough and nice ending.

Overall, RAW was decent. All the matches were subpar and none were all too exciting or even worth watching. And then the talking segments weren’t too brilliant either. The show was up and down and I would have rather read the results online. The show had its highlights, but even then it did not make the show worth watching in my opinon.

What about you?

Smackdown (05.02.08)

NEWS: |WWE| The following report is from WWE with full credit going to Mitch Passero…

For the first time in nearly three years, three titles were on the line in one big night on SmackDown – the World Heavyweight Championship, the WWE Tag Team Championship and the United States Championship.

Fresh off Backlash, new United States Champion Matt Hardy found himself defending the gold just five days later in a rematch against former champion Montel Vontavious Porter. Fighting tenaciously, Hardy showed no signs that he was ready to relinquish the title any time soon. He sealed the deal and retained the gold by nailing his arch-rival with a Twist of Fate, further staking his claim that he is truly better than MVP.

In recent weeks, all of the contestants in SmackDown’s Tag Team Championship bout had crossed paths in the ring. But now it was time to settle the score when it really mattered. Jimmy Wang Yang & Shannon Moore kept the match close, but reigning champions John Morrison & The Miz were able to hold onto the gold thanks to a Moonlight Drive from the Shaman of Sexy to “The Reject”.

In his SmackDown commentary debut, legendary Superstar Mick Foley welcomed Batista to the ring to talk about The Animal’s loss to Shawn Michaels at Backlash. After reviewing Chris Jericho’s recent Highlight Reel – where Y2J accused HBK of faking his injury at Backlash – Batista issued a strong warning to HBK: “Shawn, for your sake, I hope you are actually hurt. Because if you’re not, when I see you, you will be.”

As he prepared to face the World’s Strongest Man, Mark Henry, Nunzio had some huge support in his corner – none other than the World’s Largest Athlete, Big Show. Unfortunately, it didn’t help much, as Henry made quick work of Nunzio to get the win. But when Henry went to attack Nunzio further, Big Show jumped into the ring to ensure the Full Blooded Italian’s safety after the bell. The World’s Strongest Man chose not to tangle with Big Show, however, and backed out of the ring. As Henry exited, Big Show expressed his displeasure with the match-up: “Next time, why don’t you try picking on somebody your own size?” One can only wonder. Was this a challenge or a threat?

If you wanted to make a safe bet in Atlantic City, this was it. Take the undefeated Russian superpower, Vladimir Kozlov, over the winless Colin Delaney. After manhandling the diminutive upstart, Kozlov sealed the deal with a reverse DDT and pinfall. The 300-pounder’s SmackDown record now stands at 5-0. Who can stop this man-machine?

Finlay seemed to have things under control in his match against Julio Dinero, but Hornswoggle decided to get into the act to help his father. After emerging from under the ring, Hornswoggle grabbed Dinero by both legs and tried to pull him under the ring. Dinero escaped Hornswoggle’s grasp, but eventually met his fate in the ring – a pummeling Celtic Cross from Finlay and the pinfall. Hornswoggle then got his licks in as well, nailing Dinero with a Tadpole Splash.

When four of SmackDown’s Divas squared off in a tag match, it was clear that love wasn’t in the air. After some heated tag and singles encounters in recent weeks, tonight it was the team of Victoria & Natalya that emerged victorious over Michelle McCool & Cherry when Natalya pinned the All-American Diva.

Usually, Edge’s cohorts Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins are busy taking care of the Rated-R Supertar’s conflicts. But tonight on SmackDown, they had some business of their own to deal with – the corn-fed colossus, Festus, and his partner Jesse. In typical Festus fashion, the giant went berserk at the sound of the bell. But later in the tag team encounter, he was the target of a well-placed chop to the throat by Hawkins. Feeling the effects of the blow, Festus tagged out to Jesse, who Hawkins soon sent face first to the canvas with a swinging neckbreaker to get the pinfall.

In the third and biggest title match of the night, Undertaker was set to defend his World Heavyweight Championship against The Great Khali. But in a shocking move, SmackDown General Manager Vickie Guerrero stripped The Phenom of this title before the match. According to the GM, the devastating submission hold The Deadman has been using to bloody his opponents is an illegal chokehold, so she banned that, too. The GM demanded that the champion surrender his title right then and there, but, unfortunately for The Great Khali, things got bloody ugly instead.

RUMOR: |PWI| Even though WWE writer Michael Hayes was suspended for using racial slurs, he is still working but through email from his home.

It is now being reported that Hayes’ suspension is a formality and comes with no real punishment. Many “inside” sources reveal that Hayes has used racial slurs all his career, and in fact, uses them on a daily basis. People who interact with him are used to hearing the comments and have grown accustomed to it. It’s also being reported that Hayes will make these comments to a persons face, during creative meetings with other members and behind their backs. Furthermore, Stephanie McMahon would interview African-American candidates when Hayes was on vacation because she knew that Hayes would make a racially charged comment and thus open up WWE to a lawsuit.

Finally, Hayes’ supposed racism towards African-Americans could be the reason Bobby Lashley quit. Though no official reason has ever come to light, racism was one of the rumors floating around during the release of Lashley earlier this year. Shortly after his release, Vince held a meeting and said Lashley was released because he complained.

Despite these numerous reports and supposed history, Hayes has never been disciplined and this recent suspension is to appease the public.

Let me be the first to say that I couldn’t stand Bobby Lashley and I couldn’t stand Vince for pushing him into the main event. But if Lashley quit because of racism then I cannot blame him. When Vince said Lashley complained, did it mean that Lashley was complaining and Hayes’ comments? (and since when is that complaining to begin with)

And it’ll be no surprise about who is to blame and that’s Vince. If Hayes is really a genuine, bonafide racist…and he does make these comments at creative meetings, then Vince is ultimately responsible. How can you employ someone and allow someone to speak like that on a daily basis.

All of my comments are based on the assumption that Hayes is indeed a racist, but someone should look into this more seriously. And if anything, get Hayes fired and hold Vince responsible for allowing this to go on right in front of him.

Remember, Vince answers to the stockholders now…
